Laurel Mountain Lodge
Laurel Mountain Lodge is a spacious, warm and relaxed 3800 sq ft retreat on 40 private, lush acres covered with mountain laurels and with flagged hiking trails. With 4 Bedrooms, including a fantastic King Suite with luxurious bath, a Queen and 2 Twin bedrooms, hall shared bathroom and shower bathroom at entry end of house. Downstairs is another double bedroom, bathroom and queen sofa sleeper in the Billiard room. You'll also enjoy the marvelous library on the main floor with a great selection of books and movies. This home is also outfitted with a generator which kicks on automatically should there be a power outage and runs the essentials like HVAC and well pump. There will also be a firepit and camping site on the grounds for use in warmer weather. You may bring ONE tent for 3 or 4 of your young or hearty. On the main ground level is a large great room with a Vermont Casting woodburning stove creating a wonderfully cozy atmosphere for those folks who like a “real” fire. The huge kitchen lends itself to fun and gathering and has a lovely tile bar with seating for 3. It’s excellent for cooking for a large group or for having a caterer come in for your meals or special event. A great site for your rehearsal dinner or party for up to 40 guests. Special arrangements must be made for these, however. Total seating for dining is 25 including the lovely screened in porch, spacious deck with tables, chairs and rockers, dining room for up to 10 and breakfast area in the great room for 4! You’ll also enjoy extra gathering space downstairs in the den with it’s beautiful billiard table and another Vermont Casting stove. There’s a super closet full of family games for children and adults and a card/game table to use unless you want to get cozy on the floor in front of the woodburning stove!

Relaxing and beautiful surroundings
My family of 10 rented this lodge for Thanksgiving and had a wonderful time. The views were beautiful and the kitchen had all we needed to prepare our meal. We even had a visit from some wild turkeys! Thanks for sharing this lovely space with us!
We are so very happy that you enjoyed Laurel Mountain Lodge and appreciate your sharing your wonderful experience. We told those wild turkeys if they showed up (they love to hang around that heavily wooded area) After Thanksgiving they should be safe from appearing on the dining table! Yes, it's so fun to have those beautiful views, privacy and 40 acres and still be close to downtown Asheville. Have a Wonderful Holiday and the Best Year Ever in 2018! Thank you for your Southern hospitality in lovely surroundings
Fabulous home
Our group of 8 (60+) rented Laurel Mountain Lodge for a week and had a wonderful time. The Lodge is so well equipped, there is no need to bring anything but your food. It is furnished beautifully and the home is immaculate. There is a caretaker nearby if anything is needed, however, we didn't need a thing. No need to worry about rainy days either as there is a pool table, ping pong table and a fully stocked library to keep you busy. Even a closet full of games is available, not to mention all the tvs and available wi-fi. The Biltmore Estate is just a few miles away and wonderful golf courses also. I give Laurel Mountain Lodge 5 stars and hope to go back with my family next year.
