Walk into Nine Mile Creek, 100 ft from cabin. Short trip to historic Missoula full of restaurants, shopping, and culture. Less than 50 miles from several world class fly fishing rivers.
This is the perfect cabin. We chose it as a destination wedding/honeymoon cabin for 2 and it was perfect throughout.
Plenty of space, lots of fishing to be done in the stream in front of the cabin, tons of wildlife and more.
If you're still looking for a cabin look no further. This is the best of the best.
What a great place. Secluded, beautiful both inside and out. We spent 5 days here as we vacationed around a trip to Missoula for a University of Montana Football Game. The cabin was very clean, well furnished and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Much of our time was spent sitting on the front porch, taking in the great views, searching for wildlife. Day trips to Glacier National Park and Missoula were relatively easy trips to make. Off the beaten path, but once you get there you won't regret it.
Owners were great to work with, and always quick to answer our questions. Couldn't have asked for a better experience. I'd love to go Back!
We stayed in this cabin for a week in June 2015 and our stay clearly exceeded the expectations we had from the description and the pictures on the VRBO website.
These do not tell the full story as there were no pictures from two other bedrooms and the bathrooms. We feared that those rooms would probably be not as nice as the ones that did have pictures but this was not the case. All the rooms were cozy and very clean, with nice furniture in excellent condition. We used only the upstairs bathroom and this was also very clean and well equipped.
We spent most of our time out on the porch with it’s nice view up to the mountains and down to the Nine Mile Creek, were everyday deer were wading from one side to the other. We also saw an otter, a marmot and several squirrels who greeted us in the morning – they wanted their share from our breakfast table. And – quite important too when you are next to water – we saw no mosquitos!
The kitchen had everything we needed and the furniture in the living area was comfortable, so our evenings inside were as perfect as our days outside.
Coming all the way from Germany the only thing we missed was an internet access to keep in touch with home, especially as there also seemed to be no net for our cellphones, and some more furniture on the porch. A rocking chair would be nice, and a table. Susan, our kind host who was always quick to respond to our mails, promised she would look into this, so – to put it all together - we can really recommend this place to anybody who wants to spend some relaxing time in a beautiful and peaceful environment at a reasonable price.
Thank you Susan, if we can we will be back!
This cabin was exactly as described. I was in Missoula for the marathon and decided to make it a week long vacation. This cabin was secluded offering privacy, peace and quiet, and breathtaking views. I truly enjoyed spending the evening on the front porch with a glass of wine and a good book. The owners are super knowledgable and very quick to respond. I highly recommend! Thanks for an awesome trip.
My husband has often wanted to find a cabin away from it all by a stream. That is just what this was a dream come true! Amenities were great! The wildlife were there just about every day. You did have to plan ahead to get food supplies that would be needed though. A little distance from town. Beautiful setting for relaxation! Thanks for opening it for us on short notice!
Three ladies had a great time.Cabin is is exactly as their ad says. You do some travel on dirt roads but they are very good roads Cabin is well stocked you only need to bring your personal items. Saw lots of deer...deck is nice.. to sit and watch sunsets and wildlife. Beds are very comfortable. Went into Missoula to Ciao Mambo...what amazing food...wonderful service...worth your while to seek this out on Higgins Street. I would recommend this vacation property to friends.
