We stay in Lancaster many times throughout the year but this was our first visit to the cabin. We had such an awesome time. Smack in the middle of the Amish farmlands, we experienced nothing but a gorgeous setting and an immaculate, clean, beautiful, impressive living space that fit the whole family. You won't regret staying here, we highly recommend the cabin and we will definitely be back.

A perfect winter getaway

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful stay at Elmer & Martha's cozy cabin. The cabin was extremely clean and well maintained. We were greeted with homemade chocolate chip cookies, which were just fabulous.

The fireplace was wonderful, and provided a lovely ambiance. We used the kitchen every day and it had most everything we needed. On that note, the knives were a little dull, so if you're doing much cooking you might want to bring your own. There also wasn't a huge selection of pots and pans, but enough to suffice for certain.

In terms of the local area, the cabin is surrounded by Amish farms -a truly beautiful setting. There are many places to go in the local area (shops, amish stands, etc.) as well as cities within a short distance. Philadelphia is only about an hour away.

Overall we had a fantastic stay. I would definitely recommend the cozy country cabin!

We loved staying at this beautiful log home. The listing description was very accurate and the property spotless and well maintained. Good location to tour the Amish country. House was well equipped for our 5 day stay and the owners were very nice and thought of everything we would need.We enjoyed the Amish farmland tour, homestead house and one room school, as well the buggy ride. We had several delicious meals at area restaurants. We would definitely recommend this vacation property for your stay in this wonderful area of Pennsylvania!
