We had a family and friends getaway for a weekend. My husband and I were pricing around for a long time. This house is totally worth every penny! This place became a true home for us. Everything is well done and clean. Our kids enjoyed the spacious house and snow right outside of the house. My husband and I had a romantic dinner: at midnight the living room was fully illuminated by a full moon! No lights were needed!!! Our friends had joined us a day later and had blast in the nearby ski mountains. The location is perfect for skiers: all major mountains are really close to the house (ask Elena for a back-road directions:) What a vacation we had! We already booked our next trip in mach!
Our large family fit very comfortably in this beautiful home. There is a great room with a fireplace and plenty of space for movies, games, and cooking. The house was very clean. Additionally, we were able to enjoy the deck and the view of the lake from the house. It's a short 15 minute drive to North Conway. Recommend to everyone!
What a great place for a gateway. The house had to offer everything it advertised and then some. The property is very well maintained and spacious enough to accommodate a group of people.
The place is offering a very private lake beach front as well as attractions of North Conway within 15 minutes drive.
We would definitely recommend this property.
Elena: thank you so much for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home! This is quite a home. We enjoyed the big open concept. Our favorite room in the morning was the sunroom off of the living room. This area was nice and cool and a great place to have morning coffee along with sitting out on the beautiful spacious deck. The sounds of the Loon over Pea Porridge Pond and the smell of the fresh air was very relaxing. At night, I enjoyed sitting in the "den"/office area on the second floor while my husband and son enjoyed their sports on the HDTV in the living room! My daughter and her husband loved the loft area. There was a spot for everyone! This is THE BEST home we have ever stayed in and hope to come back. Riding through Madison is breath taking along with the mountain views in Conway and the convenience being so close to North Conway and all the action! Thank you so much for allowing us to enjoy your beautiful home.

We stayed there first weekend of march, and had a great time. The house was definitely a highlight, with all its' spaciousness and cleanliness. It is a welcoming house with many windows throughout, which gives you such a wonderful feel of closeness to the nature. We were a group of 8, (4 couples), and the house was perfect and ideal for a group our size. It had everything we needed, and more. Everything was clean and neat. I would love to return to Conway in the summer months, and I can only imagine this house being even more ideal--with the large deck, grill, and nearby lake. We loved it, and would highly recommend it to anyone with a group of 6+. Thanks so much to the owners for helping make our trip to The White Mountains easy and enjoyable!
I had stayed at this home a few years ago (under the past ownership) with 2 other couples and it was perfect. It's a beautiful, open home with lots of privacy. The lake is great to swim in during the summer and it's convenient for skiing as well.
My experience with the new owner, Elena, was the best I've had in all my encounters with HomeAway. She responded to all my inquiries very quickly and made herself available by phone and email for all my questions regarding the stay and payment. I had difficulty organizing members of my travel group, but she was extremely patient and when I had to cancel at the last minute before the contract was signed, she was incredibly understanding.
This will be the first house I look into the next time I want to rent. It's great for girls weekends, couples getaways, family trips, etc.
We stayed for a long weekend in January -- 2 adult couples and 4 children. Supposedly, we were the fist renters since the change in ownership. Our experience was nothing short of amazing.
It all started with our first contact with Elena, the owner. She responded instantly to all our inquiries and made herself available by phone. She also emailed us info that she though would be appropriate for our party.
The house itself is quite large. It is new, clean, and tastefully decorated with lots of original photographs throughout. We all gathered in front of the fireplace every night. All four children chose to stay in one room and had a lot of fun. My husband and I stayed in the master suite on the main level, while my friend and her husband slept in the smaller bedroom upstairs. The 3rd floor bedroom was never used. My husband used the office space for work-related stuff and thought it was quite nice...
Elena recommended that we ski King Pine, which is just a few minutes away and supposedly known for being family friendly. We got group lessons for the children and they had a blast. We also had a great time, although the mountain is not as challenging as some of its bigger neighbors.
The lake was frozen over, and kids has a lot of fun playing on the ice. I wish we knew that there was an ice-skating rink -- the kids would have brought their skates. We did a little hiking just up the street (at Elena's recommendation) and the views are quite breath-taking.
We ate out at Flat Bread Pizza Company and Black Cap, at Elena's recommendation. We enjoyed both.
We will definitely be back, hopefully this summer. It was quite clear to us that Elena takes pride in her home and cares about relationships with her guests. I only hope that she does not change her ways, being a new owner and all... :)
