Fantastic!

  • 5 of 5

We loved being here! We have always camped in the Tolby campground - this was a great alternative to camping in a tent :). The view in the mornings, afternoons, evenings were just so calming and relaxing. Even though we didn't fish the Holy Waters, we still were able to fish our normal areas downstream and in Eagle Nest lake. Our son got a guide for fishing the Holy Waters the last day and as a new fly fisherman, received a multitude of information for future fishing! The front area was great after coming in from downstream and taking off waders and storing fishing stuff. It keeps the rest of the house clean from all of the mud and water being tracked into the house. Loved that! Everything was available that we could have wanted. We made a trip to Angel Fire grocery store when we got in and the house had just about everything else we needed.

One thing I missed being available was a great place to sit outside and enjoy the wonderful scenery and air. It won't of course keep us from renting the house again, but just a suggestion if you ever want to put a picnic table or seating area outside. :) (The little space right outside the patio doors would be a perfect place for a table!!)

Great place - thank you for allowing us to stay there - it was just what we needed!

Beautiful old Ranch house

  • 4 of 5

We really loved the property and the house. We loved the extra little touches that made the house more cozy and lived in. The only issue we had, was with the upkeep of the exterior of the house. We had to clean spiders and webs off of most of the windows just to be able to open them to let in that awesome fresh air. Some of the windows did not have screens & some of the windows would not close properly. The weeds and grass were so tall at some of the exits and paths that we could not walk through. But in comparison to the experience of the property those issues were small and we would definitely recommend it to anyone.

Nice place. Great View.

  • 4 of 5

House was clean and nice. Shower head was all plugged up with lime so showers were not very good. Also, the septic tank is located between the house and the kids swingset but was only covered by a narrow board. A child or pet could easily fall into it. Hopefully owner will fix this immediately and this should not prevent anyone from renting it but just be aware if you have small kids there. I would have called to tell them while I was there but there is no land line phone, no cell, no internet. Comfortable, clean, and a magnificent view from the outdoor hot tub especially on a warm summer night like we had.

Eagle Nest New Mexico house

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here between Christmas and New Years. It was great. The house stayed

warm-even in a blizzard- and the kids had a wonderful time playing outside in the snow. It was an easy trip to Angel Fire because the roads were in such good shape. We would definitely recommend this house.
