This is our second stay at this house. The first year we had 9, and this year 10, so the house can definitely fit a big group, though keep in mind not all rooms are private. We really enjoy the firepit and view from the porch. Simply cozy and a house that we make a lot of memories at. Great location. Little hiccup when we first arrived but I called and was able to get things figured out right away.
The house was supposed to be cleaned, yet there were cobwebs in the tops of all the lamps when we went to turn them on. Wanted to give a baby a bath and discovered disgusting black mold under the tub mat! The towels leave a lot to be desired....The sectional sofa described is circa 1980...the pieces don't attach so seating is really limited since it comes apart when you try to sit on it. The TV's are ancient and the picture is terrible. The house smelled musty when opened.
The location is great..very convenient to Watkins Glen. The house has good bones and lots of potential...spending a little money to upgrade towels, , TV's etc. would be a wise investment.
This was a clean, homey, relaxing cabin overlooking beautiful Seneca Lake. Access to town and Marina Was excellent and the proximity to the local Tiki bar made it a frequent stop. We made good use of the fire pit and was lovely to take in the views from nearly all rooms from sunrise to sun set. The wine tril is right out the back door and there is so much to do in the area. Julia Symes the property manager was helpful and the owners accommodated us in every way they could. Parking a bit of a chalk anger at times but with a little shuffling worked out fine
This house has so much character! Very charming. Outside landscaping needs a lot of work. Stone sidewalks need some maintenance and the driveway is horrible. Lots of TV's but NO cable! 2 bedrooms ---4 single beds and one double bed, but no upstairs bathroom.,
Lovely lake house in a prime location. We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 days and we wish we could have stayed longer.
The house has plenty of room and is very well maintained. We were able to sleep 8ppl comfortably. The porch and firepit were our favorite aspects of the house. Also, the location just north of Watkins Glen cannot be beat.
We will absolutely be coming back next chance we get.
What a great place. We had 6 adults in our party, and we stayed for 5 nights in this very roomy home. We loved the cabin-y feel of the house with the logs and the stone fireplace and all, even though the place is too big to call a cabin. There is a big kitchen and dining room where we ate and played board games, an outdoor gas grill for cooking up our steaks, lots of bedrooms to choose from, two bathrooms (1 full, one with a shower, no bathtub), and a great living room. The awesome front porch overlooks beautiful Seneca Lake, perfect for sipping coffee in the morning and watching the boats motor by on the water. We even had a nice fire pit the last night we stayed. The location is awesome, about a mile or two from downtown Watkins Glen and its boat tours, little shops, and nice restaurants. We loved it and would definitely stay there again. Aerie Lodge rocks. Thanks for everything.
