This beautifully maintained five bedroom, three bath home, with additional 'bonus king loft,' makes for a lovely Carmel Valley retreat. It is beautifully furnished and the kitchen area makes it nice for intimate family gatherings with casual dining, while the formal hand-made mahogany furniture provides an elegant setting for more formal dining. There is a formal living area as well as a more casual family room (s). While the house is spacious, smaller groups enjoy it as well. The main floor has the kitchen with dining area, four of the five bedrooms, bathrooms, formal dining room and game room! The bedrooms all have separate entrances and bathrooms are near to all! The 'bonus' loft is a large, spacious upstairs room with comfy king-size bed and seating.
The house overlooks the beautiful Carmel Valley hills and one can walk to the Village for wine tasting or whatever! Relax on the patio with a patio heater (one rarely needs it) and sip a glass of wine while watching the sunset. Watch as the fog rolls in, but usually stops short of the Village. The house is nicely set up for three king bedrooms, one of which is 400 s.f.! Each with its own entrance, and two queen-size rooms. Additionally, there is the large loft which boasts the most comfortable bed and seating. There are a total of three beautiful bathrooms, two showers and one bathtub. Or, come as a couple and enjoy the house with the 400 s.f. master with flat screen and dining table (in the room) for sipping wine and watching the northern views. You will most likely see the wild turkeys and deer as well! (will adjust pricing for smaller party/off-season).
The upstairs loft is a 'bonus' room. That is, it is very open with great views, and the most comfortable king size bed and seating. This brings the house to 4 kings and 2 queens. The downstairs queen room also has its own family room and television--a great place for casual relaxing. The house is great for just a couple or two, or for a larger gathering. There are a total of three flat screen televisions, cable, and internet (of course!).

Carmel Valley is undisputedly one of the most beautiful places on earth with stellar weather. Having grown up here, we love the sense of community and the sense of belonging. People in the Valley love their community and are involved in the many charitable events that take place to keep our Village so quaint. Memories of playing as a child in the Carmel River bring me much happiness. After a good rain, we can hear the river roaring in the distance. Living in Carmel Valley is like living in a resort! Sometimes we have to pinch ourselves to see if it's for real! We married as high school sweethearts and it was our dream to one day own a home in Carmel Valley. There were a lot of baby steps to take in order to buy/build/remodel here, but we made it!
The moment we drove onto the property, we knew it was for us. The house was sadly in need of some TLC and we spent years perfecting it. It is somewhat tucked away, yet close to schools, the Village, etc. We loved the oak trees, the deer, the turkeys, and the way that neighbors were friendly, smiled, and always there to lend a helping hand.
We are within walking distance to Carmel Valley Village (well, you have to like a hill) and it's lovely wine tasting rooms. We are 20 minutes to Carmel-by-the-Sea and within thirty minutes to Monterey, Pebble Beach, and Pacific Grove. A short twenty minute drive to Laguna Seca. Five minutes to Holman Ranch, 15 minutes to Carmel Valley Ranch and The Holly Farm. We have several 'secret' swimming hole spots along the Carmel River. Within minutes one can begin a long walk or a rigorous hike at Garland Regional Park. Take a day and go to the Aquarium with our passes and watch the penguins and the sea otters frolic.
We are our dogs' 'people' and they love walking us every morning up to the sprawling Meadow and the dog-friendly Community Center Park! We also have several favorite restaurants in the Village, including Cafe Rustica, The Running Iron, Will's Fargo, Bernardus, and Los Laureles Lodge (among others). Walk to the Village and get a great cup of coffee and fresh baked goods from the Wild Goose, LoKal, or the recently opened Trailside Café.
One can also make a nice day trip to Big Sur--it's 20 minutes to Highway One and then 26 miles to Big Sur. We are just a great base for about anything....go in the opposite direction (northwest) and visit Santa Cruz and the Beach Boardwalk.
I rented this home for A few couples (and baby) for a wedding at Holman Ranch and it was absolutely perfect. The bedrooms are spacious and all have king or queen beds which was great. Cindy was a wonderful host and extremely helpful throughout the rental process!
Myself and 9 of my friends stayed at this lovely and cozy home for a wedding that was being hosted at Holman Ranch. If you are traveling with a large family or friends it is the perfect house as their is more than enough sleeping space and places to hang out. If you are looking for a place to stay with amazing views this is the home for you!
Our group consisted of 7 adults and 3 year old. We enjoyed lots of room, perfect weather and brunch out on the patio. The house is very comfortable and equipped with everything we needed, even toys and books for our granddaughter! The property was close to the wedding venue for which we were gathered, but still an easy drive to Monterey & Carmel. The owners are friendly, helpful and accomodating! We had a great time and would definitely recommend this rental!
This is our 2nd time staying at Cindy's property and we couldn't be happier. Last time, 3 yrs ago, my clients put us up in the 2 bedroom unit above the garage, which was perfect, clean, and all the necessary amenities.
This time, since our group was larger, my clients rented us the main house, which was grand and spacious. We had 6 of us staying in the house and plenty of room to spread out. Every room was nicely decorated and large. Each time we opened a door, there was a new room which was great. The inside area was just as nice as the outdoor area though we didn't have time to enough the outdoor patio.
It's such a beautiful view to wake up and see the entire Carmel Valley area with lush trees and fresh air.
Cindy is a great owner because she takes pride in her property, but, she also takes into consideration all the amenities one would need as if she's living there herself.
We will definitely stay here again the next time we're working in Carmel Valley.
It's close to the village, nicely centralized and reasonably priced for all that she provides.

Our team was up there this past weekend for a wedding at Stone Pine Estate. This property was perfect for what we needed if not better. They have thought of everything to make our stay comfortable. It was great to come back after each event to a comfortable home to relax in after a stressful day. Our team of designer, coordinators, hair, makeup, and photographer would ask for anything better.
My husband and I (60's) rented this property for our family vacation (3 adult children, spouses and 2 grandchildren), and for a wedding at Holman Ranch. The large house was PERFECT for all ages: there is a play area for toddlers; a game table for parents; a wonderfully stocked kitchen; and the most comfortable beds we've ever slept in! The house is BIG....actually were 2 bedrooms we didn't even use! The outdoor area is inviting, and the well-fed deer and birds kept us all entertained.
The location was excellent: beautiful views of the valley; 5 minutes from Holman Ranch; easy access to fun restaurants in town; and a beautiful drive to Carmel-by-the-sea and Big Sur.
The owners, Cindy and Mike, have a beautiful property, and are very accommodating ~ they were helpful with restaurants, directions, and local attractions. We recommend this property to anyone visiting Carmel Valley!
Property is three minutes to Carmel Valley Village. Twenty to thirty minutes to Carmel, Monterey, Pebble Beach. We are a great base for just about any activity. Especially Holman Ranch, Holly Farm, Carmel Valley Ranch, and Hidden Valley weddings! One can see the road going up to Holman from our house. We are near Laguna Seca, Quail Lodge, Bernardus, Holman Ranch, Stonepine. Venture a little further and visit Big Sur and Santa Cruz. The Valley has numerous activities all year around. Hidden Valley Music Seminars has great entertainment, as well as Sunset Center in Carmel-by-the-Sea. Touring Carmel Valley Village's wine tasting rooms is a must as well as visiting the many wonderful restaurants, galleries, and specialty shops. Great hiking, horseback riding and, did I mention the wine tasting? I can also offer some Aquarium passes. The property is ideal for those attending weddings at any Carmel or Carmel Valley location. While the property is spacious, it is also nicely divided so that smaller groups of people can enjoy the living areas, without needing all of the bedrooms. We welcome smaller parties at discounted rates, and "last minuters!" If you are a hiker, Garland Park is a must and if you are a wine drinker, the 23+ wine tasting rooms are a must! I also am happy to have just a couple or two and adjust the price during off-season.
