I live on the Sunshine Coast because it is the most fabulous location in the world. Kayaking, scuba diving, fishing, beach walking, skiing, mountain climbing...you name it, you can do it here!
Quiet, quiet, quiet. We're located 10 km out of Sechelt on a ridgetop at the end of the road. Nestled in the middle of a huge forest in a vortex that attracts the eagles and makes them soar! Very private from every corner of the deck and house...you can't see anyone!
Pud and Kipper are long gone, so there are no longer any cats at Eagles Roam. Keep getting questions about the cats...
We were extremely happy with our week stay at Eagle's Roam. The house was perfect for 2 couples - lots of privacy and comfortable common space. The wrap-around deck is excellent for dining, lounging, star-gazing and hanging out - great views and always a shady spot somewhere. We cooked dinner in every night and found the kitchen to be well stocked with utensils, cookware and spices. It was easy for all of us to be in the kitchen together cooking, chopping, washing dishes and pouring drinks! Both beds were very comfortable and evening airflow was good so never too hot for sleeping. Overall the house energy, ambiance, creature comforts, location and views were beyond our expectations. The driveway was a bit daunting at first but easy to do after the first drive up and down. We found the house to be in a great location for outdoor exploring with good liquor and grocery store close by in Sechelt. We want to come back again!
We absolutely loved our stay at Eagles Roam. It suited our family of 4 perfectly and we found the property well stocked for our 10 day trip!! Gorgeous grounds and views from the decks. We also enjoyed the close by trails and quietness of the property! The owner's customer service was excellent, very easy to contact and on top of everything which was very helpful. We would definitely stay again!!!
We had a wonderful time (19 days) at Eagles Roam. And we indeed saw an Eagle pass by.
The home is spacious and completely equipped with everthing we needed and then some. For us the past part has been the deck and the more or less around the house veranda with many options to sit and enjoy the beautiful views over the inlet and into the woods. Those same views are also to be had when lying in the bed of the master bedroom!. Beeing Europeans we espacially enjoyed the frequent visits of a hummingbird. Those are cute anaimals not endemic in Europe.
Cris Rowan has been a very pleasant and helpful host and did even point us toward some bands playing.
One hint: some reviews mention the somewhat steep driveway up to the house. I've found that to be no problem at all. You have to alternatives to reach the house. One is for the car more or less even leveled and then a ~2 stories staircase to reach the deck/houselevel. The other is to drive up the car to houselevel derectly, which I did most of the time. Once you have seen it it is really not difficult.
Another hint: if you manage to come that far do yourself a favor and visit the Princess Louisa Inlet by boat. It's most awesome and makes for a gorgeous daytrip.
This is a lovely property with all you could need even humming birds. If you like to sleep in past sunrise bring a sleep mask as both bedrooms are built for the view not for darkness.
This is a beautiful home in a very relaxing location, no noise, overlooking water on a beautiful deck. Fabulous master bedroom with great view. Futon is located in living/family room. Property was clean, description and information provided was accurate. Owner very responsive and pleasant to deal with. We loved no tv, and some great family time playing board games and cards. Thanks for hosting us Chris!
You can make one of unforgettable trip in your life by spending time in this beautiful house surrounding by breathtaking view of the see, mountain and forest while you are enjoying the sun deck. Yes, everything is here. We were there with 4 adults and two children. The deck provides you enough space for children to run and play around. It has very beautiful decoration around the house matched by nature and so romantic. If you have children I suggest displace some of decorations in the house to be far from children such I did upon my arrival. In this property you can have almost 360 degrees sunshine around the house and no matter when, you can use perfectly located chairs in the sundeck to tan yourself and enjoy. The owner is responsible and you never left behind as your email and phone call has response in a short time. I can promise. So, do not scratch your head and choose this place. you never regret.
Two hammocks under deck for relaxing in the shade. Fairie village (3 houses hidden in a grove) up forest trail ~ 10 min. walk.
