Beyond Expectations

  • 5 of 5

Rebecca and Vido were very helpful. Rebecca arranged our transportation from the airport and to our rental car location. Vido greeted us and made sure we were comfortable. Inside the unit they provide a shelf of guide books and maps for Dubrovnik and surrounding locations.

The apartment is VERY clean and comfortable with plenty of room. As other reviewers have noted, the terrace is amazing. (One note is that currently there is construction next door, but that didn’t bother us since we were away from the apartment during working hours.)

Other reviewers have mentioned the steps, but Dubrovnik is a city of steps. We did not think accessing this apartment required any more steps than most other places in Dubrovnik.

We can definitely recommend staying here if you are in Dubrovnik. It is a fantastic value.

A fantastic stay!!

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I, along with along with another couple, stayed here in May for four days and loved it! Rebecca was fantastic to deal with, extremely pleasant, full of advice and very responsive (which to a traveller is something I believe is of great importance). Both her and her husband Vito will no doubt make your stay super as they assisted us with airport transfers as well as some excursions.

Having said that, you can walk to most of the highlights very easily. For us it was about a 10 minute walk to the start of the old city (half that to the Cable Car) and from there you are able to explore away. The walking does involve primarily stairs so it can be a little less going and a bit more time coming back; unless you are in great condition, just do what we did, a chunk of stairs then a breather and so on :)

The apartment is exactly as 'advertised' but to be honest, during our stay the weather was wonderful and we all but lived outside on that amazing patio! The stay went quickly and we picked up a rental car on our last day (as we were driving up the coast) and not only did they have a place to park (which you quickly come to appreciate) Vito was kind enough to show me a few tricks to maximize my parking!

A great place, wonderful location and owners... what more could anyone ask. Go and enjoy, we certainly did!

Lovely stay

  • 5 of 5

Our family of 5 (2 adults plus 3 children aged 6, 9, and 10) stayed for 2 weeks during April at this property and had a wonderful time. The apartment was spotless and had plenty of room for our family. The terrace was a highlight and made for a perfect spot to enjoy a wine at the end of a sightseeing day. The views of Lokrum Island are just wonderful. A couple grocery stores and bakeries are about a 10-minute walk from the apartment as is the Old City. Rebecca was extremely responsive in our many questions prior to the visit and she and Vido were very helpful during our stay in giving us advice about Dubrovnik and it surrounds and arranging excursions.

Great time in Dubrovnik!

  • 5 of 5

The owners of this apartment were very attentive to our needs. We were two couples who shared this apartment for a couple of nights. The location was great for us. We were not able to enjoy the patio because of the weather. But, it would be so nice in the warmer months. The apartment was very spacious and clean. The owners are upstairs and very helpful with recommendations for the area.

A fabulous find!

Our family of 5 (adults) thoroughly enjoyed our time at this lovely apartment. The views were spectacular, the home was clean and very comfortable! We were thankful for the transport arrangements to and from the airport. Definitely above and beyond our expectations!

Very deserving of its high rating

  • 5 of 5

My family of 5 (wife and I, adult son and common law wife, and adult daughter) stayed here for 7 wonderful nights in June 2016. This was the first time I have tried a holiday rental and chose this property based on the VRBO reviews. All our high expectations were met.

Rebecca was very helpful (and patient) in my planning of our trip, as she and Vido were during our stay. The house is spacious and we all felt very comfortable with the sleeping accommodation. The second bathroom was a bonus. The street to the house is narrow and maneuvering into the parking stall can be a challenge depending on how vehicles have parked in the street, but having a place to park is a major plus. Without it, parking would be a problem.

Worthy of special mention is the patio/terrace that many other reviewers have praised. Some reviewers talk about views of the old town but the roof of the neighbour's house mostly blocks that view. Nevertheless, the view of the Adriatic and Lokrum Island is beautiful. We spent most of our time, our sundowner drinks, several meals and every breakfast on the patio. It is indeed a very special place.

Just a comment about GPS directions. After entering the address into our TomTom GPS, the GPS brought us right to the house when coming from the north. However when coming from the south (the airport) the GPS said we had reached our destination so we stopped but quickly realised something was wrong so we continued to drive. After 50 meters or so, the GPS recalculated and brought us around the correct route from the north right to the house.

There are many estimates of the number of stairs to the old town. Four of us counted once and, while we all differed to some degree, the average was about 280. It is a slog after a long day of sightseeing especially in the heat, but it makes a beer at the top all that much more enjoyable. Our ages varied from 26 to 66 and we made the hike without stopping, but I can quite understand less fit/able folks heading to the taxi rank.

We did a day trip to Mostar, Bosnia, and one to Kotor, Montenegro. While both trips were very worthwhile, we found the Kotor day the best. Again, the GPS was perfectly accurate the whole way.

Overall, we could not have had a better week in Dubrovnik and I would highly recommend this accommodation.
