Located in Tulemar, a 33 acre, gated and secure, residential resort located right in the heart of Manuel Antonio. Our villas are surrounded by jungle and the wildlife is abundant; you’ll see monkeys, sloths and exotic birds throughout the property and on our hiking trails. At the Tulemar Beach you’ll find warm, tropical waters with a sandy beach and lots of shady palm trees plus free lounge chairs, umbrellas, kayaks, boogie boards, towels and food/beverage service. For more information and availability on Villa Cielito call me at 559-284-9616.
Villa Cielito is a luxurious, 2 story, 2 bedroom retreat nestled into the jungle hillside. It offers panoramic views of the ocean and lush jungle.
A unique feature of this casa is its location; on a level area with adjacent parking, easy for those that might have difficulty with steps and ramps leading to the front door. This villa has one of the best panoramic ocean views of any villa in Tulemar!
The villa is luxuriously furnished and has high end appliances throughout. As you enter through the huge teak door you pass into the over-sized living and kitchen area. There is also a 1/2 bath and a large daybed / TV on this floor. This leads to large wrap-around veranda with stunning view of the ocean and jungle, an outdoor dining area and a jacuzzi tub.
On the lower level are 2 suites, each with 2 queen beds, luxurious mattresses and their own terrace. Each room has an en-suite bathroom with stone counters and an indoor and outdoor raindrop shower.
The name 'Villa Cielito' means 'a little piece of heaven'. It is a breathtaking beautiful villa with ocean views from every room of the house.
Villa Cielito is located inside of Tulemar Resort, a 33- acre gated community surrounded by Costa Rican rainforest and views of the Pacific Ocean. The attentive staff is on-hand to be at help at all times. Chris, your personal concierge, will do all he can before & during your stay to help you have the best vacation in Costa Rica possible.
We stayed in April at Tulemar with another couple and we had the privacy needed. The villas were beautiful and the staff went above and beyond. It may be a bit of steep terrain but Luis, our driver was there whenever we needed him and he was the best. He really help make the vacation, his humor and knowledge of the local scene was exceptional. The private beach was beautiful and our bartender, Juan, was great. We felt so well taken care of with Brian as our concierge, anything we needed was handled immediately. He was very helpful finding the right excursions for our group.
The pools were all very private and the best morning was watching the troop of monkeys above the pool crossing the trees. The tour of Manuel Antonio was informative and the beach inside the park should not be missed. I am not usually a fan of guided tours but it is a must in the park, you would miss so much if you were to wander on your own.
We opted to have a chef (Marlon?) at our villa and it was well worth it. The food was wonderful and it was enjoyable on our own balcony. There are so many restaurant close by and and there is a grocery store if you want to cook yourself.
We have stayed in many places in many countries and I can honestly say Tulemar is one of our favorites and we hope to make it back soon.
My family (my wife, me and our two sons, ages 14 and 11) ended our week-long vacation in Costa Rica with a 3 night stay at Casa Cielito at Tulemar. As soon as we opened the door to the Villa we were immediately wishing we had booked it for longer! The property is quite possibly the most gorgeous place we have ever stayed. The view is absolutely spectacular from all of the rooms - although we spent most of our time on the balcony (including eating all of our dinners there - because why go out and miss the sunset?). The casa is well furnished - gourmet kitchen, jacuzzi on the balcony, smart TV, luxury bedding, washer/dryer, etc. And the indoor/outdoor showers were fantastic!
Chris, our concierge, was great. He (and Julien) answered all of my zillions of questions with patience as I was planning the trip. Chris set up a couple of activities for us. Chris also gave us a tour of the grounds when we arrived, checked in with us daily, and even brought us a plate of warm brownies that were delicious. Chris also set us up with private chef Jose and his assistant Rudy for a gourmet dinner for our last night. That was a big splurge for us but well worth it. The food was delicious and the service was perfect. My only wish is that we had thought to do it on the first night so we could have eaten the leftovers instead of leaving that all behind when we checked out.
The grounds are incredible. We saw more wildlife here than anywhere else on our trip. Sloths, monkeys, lizards, iguanas, birds and butterflies. The landscaping is lush and the flowers are bright and beautiful. We loved the pools and the beach is even nicer than Manuel Antonio - which is saying something! We just wished we had more time to chill there to enjoy the beach.
The location is perfect - between Manuel Antonio beach and Quepos. There are restaurants and grocery stores within walking distance. We loved El Avion restaurant with its beautiful view and surprisingly great food.
If you stay at Tulemar, be sure to plan for enough time to just relax and enjoy. It is a wonderful place to stay, and the service is top notch. We can't wait to go back and visit again!
Family of six stayed at Tulemar for three nights in late November. We had Cielito, a two level villa with two bedrooms on the lower level. Each BR had two twin beds and a half bath. There was also a day bed at the top of the stairs to the upper level. Upper level included the kitchen, living room, a half bath, and the expansive deck. Lower level BRs and bath are identical mirror images of each other. Bedrooms are somewhat small but the baths are killer, mostly due to the huge shower area. Overall the villa had a high end feel to it with multiple lighting options on dimmers, swanky fixtures, and brand new big screen TVs. Kitchen was well equipped with small electrics and Samsung appliances. There was even a separate ice maker under the counter next to the dishwasher, so ice was never in short supply. The best part is the view. Unlike other villas at Tulemar, Cielito has awesome vista views to the north, east, and northwest. Sitting on the huge deck (complete with jacuzzi) contemplating the view made us feel very privileged indeed. We saw tree iguanas, monkeys, toucans, and lots of other birds from the deck.
The beach is down the hill. Management provides free shuttle vans on a few minutes' notice. The beach is great. It is enclosed in a cove so it has a private feeling to it, and it is only available to Tulemar guests. The sand is very fine, almost like silt.
At Tulemar you get a concierge who answers the phone whenever you need anything at all. The system worked great for us. Chris M. was our concierge and we found him to be universally knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. He arranged taxis, recommended a restaurant, and arranged our zipline tour flawlessly. Local knowledge really helps make a stay in a foreign country less stressful, and Chris' help was very valuable.
We absolutely loved Costa Rica. It was our first trip there, but I am very sure we will be back.
My husband and two children stayed at Tulemar for one week in late November. It was our first time in Costa Rica. We had an amazing week! The resort itself is wonderful! Lots of wildlife all around and the small private beach was incredible. The water was so warm, the water is shallow and perfect for little ones yet the surf was awesome! My five year old and two year old were on boogie boards and had a blast! The resort offers great beach service, towels, chairs, sand toys, boogies boards and food and drinks!
The service all around was unbelievable. We booked our trip through Dave. We stayed in Villa Cielito and Chris was the best. He suggested the best restaurants, and was always helping us out and making great suggestions on what to do in the area. The Villa was great, spacious, clean and we had a capuchin monkey visit and try to get into our hot tub as we sat there on the deck! My kids were in love with everything! The sloths, the monkeys, all the wildlife is amazing at Tulemar. The resort is also in the best location! So close to everything (Manuel Antonio park, private beach, amazing restaurants, grocery store, car rental place). We will be back for sure!! Thank you Chris!:)
One of my travel companions suggested staying at the Tulemar based on TripAdvisor reviews and I’m so glad we did. The well designed octagon shaped villas blend seamlessly into the landscape. The views are jaw dropping. The beaches, both at the hotel and others nearby, are stunning. The water is calmer at the private hotel beach because of the cove but there were still plenty of waves. Actually we found some of the beach’s surf outside of the private hotel beach a bit too rough for causal swimming. (But the surfers loved it) The staff, from Chris and Ashley at the concierge desk, to anyone we encountered were friendly and helpful. Be advised that the area is booming so ask about nearby construction when booking to reduce the possibility of noise. Enjoy!
Great time in Tulemar. Reviews are accurate. Everybody super friendly and pleasant. Concierge Chris was amazing and cooked for us one nite which was fantastic. Stayed 8 days. Saw sloths, monkeys, iguanas you name it. Stayed in villa cielito with another family. Plenty of room, great view. Grounds were clean, really highly recommend the entire place.
