Oh my gosh!!!! What a wonderful stay we had!!!!! Bobbi was gone to visit grandchildren so we didn't get to meet her, but Dale was so friendly and personable! We were there for almost a month, and could not have been more pleased. We already miss you and Boon, Dale!! Excellent location - about 5 miles out of town - just enough to feel peaceful and restful, but still close to everything. The view was gorgeous!! We are so glad we selected this rental!!!!

A Great Week in Homer!

  • 5 of 5

Very pleasant accommodation in an easy to reach part of Homer with nice view across the Kachemak Bay. Dale could not have been nicer or more helpful during our stay, from loaning us little things we needed but it wouldn't have made much sense to buy, to taking us out on his boat since he had just put it in the water for the summer and needed to "shake it down", anyhow. We had everything we needed for a great time, and our daughter especially had a lot of fun with Boon the Weimaraner and Ninja the Siamese cat. Good value, too, considering the general level of accommodation cost in Homer. If you're used to and expecting the Ritz, you probably need to look elsewhere, but if not stay here without hesitation!

Great stay at a great place

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I shared this apartment with my sister and her husband while we were in town for a wedding. We were thrilled to drive up and see this cute little apartment with a view! The apartment is clean with the perfect amount of space for two couples. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen was well-stocked. There was plenty of reading material on Alaska along with some personal recommendations of things to do and places to go written by the hosts. As first time visitors to the area, this was very helpful. There was even a take a book/leave a book thing - which, as a book lover, made my heart happy. I didn't see a moose on the property while there, but I did get to see the glacier every morning (and night because it NEVER gets dark in Alaska, ha!). Anyway, all in all, this was a great place to stay at a great value. Highly recommend. The only thing I would mention - the place has well water. Kinda stinky water which is weird to shower in and I wouldn't drink it. BUT, the owners leave you a 5 galloon bottle of water to use!!

Excellent choice for a visit to Homer

  • 5 of 5

The view is breathtaking and the apartment is outstanding. The great grill and hot tub were a nice surprise. The hosts are also exceptional. The icing on the cake was the 160 lb Halibut we caught. Homer was the highlight of our 10 day Alaska fishing trip.
