Guestbook comments from the owner

Amazing! This has been our second time here, and we had (another) great time with our two dogs, Lady and Minnie. My sister, brother, and parents all loved relaxing in the hot tub and snoozing by the fireplace. We also enjoyed the art studios, the Asheville Brewing Company

and going up the mountains. This is the perfect cabin and we will surely be coming back!

Exactly as described! Perfect for families!

  • 5 of 5

We had snow and a meteor shower, who could ask for more?

Cabin was great-well apportioned, very clean and comfortable and plenty for families to do.

Only took us about 15 minutes to get to Asheville for the touristy things and back to the cabin for the trees and the stars.

Host is terrific and we will certainly be back... thank you, Jennifer!

Perfect!

  • 5 of 5

This was the perfect little spot for our honeymoon. It was very relaxing up in the trees and we hardly knew any neighbors were anywhere close by! Yet it was still close to grocery stores and downtown Black mountain. We loved it.

Owner's Response: Hi Lauren - We have been lucky to host many honeymooners. While we love to hear from all our guests, it hits a particular sweet spot to know a couple is forming some of their first memories as a married twosome while staying at our place. Thanks for sharing and may you have many happy years together! Jen Mathis

Beautiful Cabin in the woods

  • 5 of 5

Unfortunately it rained every day we were there but never the less we toured the Biltmore Estates, walked the shops at Hendersonville, and drove through the mountains.

Late afternoon my wife and I played board games and card games, just relaxed, relaxed relaxed.

Cozy outdoor oasis!

  • 5 of 5

Loved this cabin! We were in town for a wedding and stayed with friends and it was the perfect getaway... the location is close distance to outdoor adventures AND downtown fun/breweries/shopping the ingles grocery store impressed me as well! The cabin is designed beautifully with so many interesting pieces of decor. It’s perfectly stocked with a great collection of books/movies for rainy days too! We truly appreciated all the amenities adding to our comfortable stay. Everything was clean and beds were comfortable. The only thing we noticed is lighting was scarce (we had 3 girls getting ready for a wedding though) The hot tub and deck made for fantastic coffee talk and relaxation. Highly recommend booking this...it would be great for a family, girls weekend or a couples getaway!

Fantastic location to dive into all that the area has to offer. Nearby attractions include the scenic Blue Ridge Parkway, hiking, biking, whitewater rafting, the Biltmore, shops, and restaurants. The River Arts District is a not to be missed introduction to the local art scene in Asheville. Another sure bet for art lovers is the Folk Art Center - home to the Southern Highland Craft Guild, conveniently located nearby on the Parkway. Lake Lure and Chimney Rock are an easy day trip from the cabin. Warren Wilson College is in Swannanoa , which offers miles of trails to explore and a farmers market in warmer weather. With Asheville 11 miles away and Black Mountain just 6 miles away, and a sweet little cabin like this to hang your hat, you can't go wrong!
