Loreto House Rental Photos and Description

House, 1 Bedroom, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 2)

Our casa and attached casita are located on the Sea of Cortez in Loreto. We are 1 1/2 miles from town so you will need a rental car. We are not in Loreto Bay which is 7 miles from town. The casita has a full kitchen and sleeps two with a king size bed, satellite TV with US & Canadian stations, wireless internet and air conditioning. The new airport is 12 minutes away and golfing is 15 minutes away. There is a 4 night minimum, but in March a 5 night minimum. Loreto, located approximately 700 miles south of San Diego in Baja on the Sea of Cortez, is ideal for kayaking, snorkeling, fishing, diving, whale watching, hiking or just relaxing.

Loreto casita on the beach

  • 5 of 5

Had a wonderful 2 weeks in Loreto. We dove 5 days with Sea and Land (they were great), explored about a 200 km radius around the Baja, as well as the town of Loreto itself, seeking the best marguarita (a tie between Giggling Dolphin & Mi Loreto). The casita lived up to its billing. We looked forward to returning to it & the beautiful patio to finish the evening watching the water. The Sea of Cortez is full of life. We saw jumping rays, hundreds of dolphins, & almost a dozen whales (need to travel by boat to see these). Communication with the owner was excellent. The town is walkable along the beach (about a km), but was nice to have the mobility of a car. Nice, quiet neighbourhood. Highly recomend the area & the casita.

responsive, friendly, unit is as shown

  • 5 of 5

Loved our stay at the Casita on the beach! We weren't there a lot since we had tours every day, but we had everything we needed. Close enough to town for dinner, could walk the beach to town, not too far, it seemed. We didn't have time to do it. Everything in the unit matched the photos. The owner was always responsive right away. Bed is firm, but comfortable. Kitchen had everything needed to cook, but we had sea food every night in town. English TV channels, Wi-Fi, A/C was great too. Not sure what else would be helpful. I will be back! Whale watching was amazing, snorkeling and site seeing too good to pass up!

Casita on the beach....AMAZING, changing the rules and giving 6 Stars!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed a week and the place is perfect. Close to everything but I wish I didn't have to walk so far across the sand to be in the water, it was at least 12 meters, LOL. The owners were not there during our stay but communication was excellent throughout and once we got there a reason to contact and ask them anything wasn't necessary, we had everything we needed. The neighbors could not have been any friendlier or nicer and offered help anytime we looked like we might have needed it. Wifi, ac, TV all worked great. We will be back for sure. If they are booked we will still make a point to meet the owners and say hi to the wonderful neighbors. Probably couldn't find a better value at current! Thanks for everything, Kurt&Olga

Casita on the Beach was everything we expected

  • 5 of 5

I probably shouldn't have rated it 5 stars because they did not have bathrobes and slippers - but I had to because it was really really nice, everything we expected - new, clean, roomy and luxurious but, the best thing was the location - simply beautiful. The gardens were spectacular. Owner was lightning fast at getting back to us with all our queries. Next door neighbor was most gracious in inviting us into her pool for a long visit.

Thank you so much for the wonderful accommodation.

Even better second time

  • 5 of 5

Yes, we have returned to the Casita to spend another 6 weeks this year. We DO love it, and the owner has basically become a friend, although we have never met in person. Communications with owner have been frequent and very cordial, and we always received positive answers to any requests. The casita offers us a real little home away from home including everything we might possibly need on a daily basis, although we basically live outside, enjoying the great beach front patio, and the roof top where the 360o view is unbeatable. The location is ideal for our lifestyle , far enough away, and yet close enough to all the services available in town. The attractive Sea of Cortez at the doorstep contributes greatly to a great vacation in Loreto made possible by renting this little piece of paradise. And again this year, our vacation at the casita was enlightened by the presence of a wonderful caretaker who is willing to share her knowledge of the area at any time, and always keeping so discreet.

We would not hesitate a minute to rent the Casita again if vacation time comes up.

Million dollar view

  • 5 of 5

The casita is located at the front of the house, yet you have total access for the incredible views that Loreto has to offer ( at the back) . I didn't want to leave ! The casita itself is comfortable - fully stocked kitchen , comfy bed and everything you could need including bottled water . We spent most of our time outside on the patio - mesmerized - while sipping our margaritas! The water was clear and great for swimming . You do need a car - it's not that far to town , but I wouldn't want to walk it at night . Great places to eat in town , a trip to isla Coronado is a must . We also dove with land and Sea diving - Sarah was a very good dive master . I will defiantly stay here again .
