House features an Eat-in Kitchen, LR/DR Combo, Large Screened-In Porch w/Hammock, 2 Flat Screen TVs, VCR, DVD Player, W/D and Full Bath (Below the House, please note this bathroom is underneath the house and must walk outside to access it), Gas Grill, CD Player, Outdoor Beach Shower, and Wireless Internet. Bed Sizes: 2Q, 2 extra-long Singles - Linens are provided.

ALL BED LINENS, KITCHEN TOWELS, AND BATH TOWEL SETS ARE PROVIDED FOR YOUR CONVENIENCE!! You will only need to bring or plan to rent beach towels, chairs, bikes, umbrellas, etc. Also included is a starter set of toiletries such as toilet paper, bath / dish soaps, paper towels, etc. but please do keep in mind you may need to purchase these items after you arrive.

Adorable little house, easy beach access

This little house is homey and clean, just a block away from the nearest beach access point. Our favorite attributes were the long, screened porch (we had a good-sized family dinner there, with several guests, and it accommodated all of us easily) & the eat-in kitchen (yes, the floor is as cool in person as it is in pictures). The only thing we didn't love was the lack of easy access to the second bathroom (you have to go outside and down the stairs to get to it, so it's not really that useful after dark), but we knew the deal on that going in. That said, that bathroom is very nice (not handicap accessible - the shower lip is very low, but the seat is not positioned correctly for the water flow if you need to sit there) and my sister raved about the shower. The washer and dryer made life very easy (we could have easily brought less luggage!).

When we left, my little boy said, "I want to rent this same house next year!!" A ringing endorsement! I highly recommend this property.

Great beach access, comfortable, economical

We visited IOP in late July 2017. Five adults and one teen.

Pros

Great beach access. House is about a block and a half from the beach on a dead end street. You can easily cross Palm Blvd via cross walks and be at the beach in less than 5 minutes. The beach at 40th street is clean and without a lot of people.

Kitchen is well supplied with pots and pans, utensils, plates, glasses. We were able to eat most meals at the house.

Linens were clean, beds comfortable.

Propane grill

There's a new bathroom downstairs that is outside. It's quite large and despite having to go outside to get there, most of us preferred to use that one for showers. (The one inside is fine, just small).

Screened-in porch was great for dining outside in the evening.

Great wifi. We streamed several movies without a problem.

House is small, but we never felt cramped. Plenty of living space.

Cons

The house was a bit dingy. If you are a clean freak, this may not be the house for you. Housekeeping does its job between renters (sheets, bathrooms clean, etc), but someone should come through and wipe down kitchen cabinets, clean under couch cushions (we were looking for remote), and just do some more intense cleaning a few times a year. The couch is stained, as were some of the bedspreads. However, given the price of the rental and its closeness to the beach we were able to overlook this.

The house next door was under construction. Workers were there at 8 AM and left around four. There was hammering and lots of talking. This really didn't bother us too much since we weren't there much during the day. I don't recall the management co. mentioning this when we rented, so beware what they might not be telling you.

Don't expect to walk anywhere except the beach. You're about two miles from shops and restaurants.

Despite the cons, we would definitely stay at this house again!

Charming = old and mouldy

It was ok. Cramped and mousy upstairs bath in dire need of upgrade. At 5' 2" it was very tight space even for me - someone 6 ft tall or taller would be forced to used the downstairs bath which is great minus all the spiders and mosquitos - too bad it isn't accessible from inside. Rope hammock on the screened porch is highlight of this house. Do not recommend this house and will not stay again.

Quaint little beach house

This house is ideal for 2 couples and 2 children who want to be comfortable and are not worried about all of the bells and whistles. Close to beach and marina. Updates are greatly needed especially in the bathroom and kitchen and the fact that the 2nd bathroom (nicer than the main bath) is downstairs and can only be accessed by going outside is a bit odd. It was certainly comfortable and ideal for our 3 day stay. Had to call realty to get clean sheets as that was overlooked as well as emptying trash and made the mistake of reaching under the dresser. Housekeeping needs some help.

Great stay for a fun weekend with the guys

I had a three night stay with close friends for a fun weekend in Charleston/I.O.P. The house was clean, large enough for all of us to crash (with one on the couch, he said it was pretty comfortable) and had a great screened in side-porch for we used for dinners and hanging out when we where there.

The only thing to keep in mind (and it didn't bother us one bit) was that there is nothing really in walking distance except the beach. This house is in a quiet area and if we wanted to go out (Windjammer, Wild Dunes) you have to Uber or be ready for a long walk. We spent two days going back and forth to Charleston which was about a 20 minute Uber ride and that racks up real quick. There are not many available in the area and some came all the way over from the city to pick us up. We had to call a head b/c there was only 1 or 2 available throughout the day and did this over a taxi b/c it is 10x more expensive. If you rent a car, it would probably be cheaper in the long run.

I loved staying here and would recommend it to anyone who wants a nice relaxing place to stay.

Perfect beach house!

We have brought our family to this house for years and always enjoy! It's a short walk to the beach but on a quiet street avoiding the Palm Boulevard traffic and noise. The porch is perfect for meals and just hanging out. We have not had any troubles with cleanliness.

Highly recommend!
