Born in So-Cal, found home in the Bay. Moved here in 2008 and fell in love with the people, places and slightly more definable seasons. I work for a surgical robotics company with technology that helps people daily, making my job an enjoyment since I started. When I’m not travelling for work I enjoy fitness activities with my beautiful other half Denise. Any weekend we get to sneak away is spent in Santa Cruz relaxing and enjoying the beach, and on the occasion we get a free week we love to expand our view of the world and explore the amazing people and cultures on different continents.

Cozy and quaint cottage
We a had a short but pleasant stay. The place was easy to find and there was enough parking for two vehicles out front. Everything was very clean and we felt right at home. There were five of us adults staying and we were all very comfortable. The bedrooms were small but really nice. Not much closet space for hanging or storing luggage in. One bedroom has a sliding glass door which leads out to a nice little back patio area. Nice cool breeze comes through. Pretty front patio area for a BBQ and there is a firepit, but bring your own supplies to burn. We only stayed a weekend so we didn't really didn't get a chance to use the amenities, but it's good to know for next time. Beds were super comfortable. Two sofas in living room fold out into beds. We used one and had great reviews on it. The TV situation was the only negative thing. We really could not get either one to work properly. I called the landlord, Ryan, and he responded quickly and was very nice and tried to give me instructions, but I still could not get the TV to work. We were finally able to log onto my Netflex account and watch a movie or two on the TV in the living room. Not too much of a big deal as we were in Santa Cruz for a wedding and we were pretty busy that weekend to watch much TV anyway.
All in all, we had a very nice and enjoyable stay.
Our time visiting this wonderful home was amazing and cmfortable. Ryan and his wife went to great lenghts to create a wonderful environment in this quaint little home. The home is decorated nicely and well furnished. we enjoyed a nice fire in the outdoor fire pit located in the courtyard located to the front of the home. The home was very clean and the pride of ownership was evident. Thank you, Ryan, for the great stay.
Nicely decorated and just about everything is new. The owner even brought in brand new couches the morning before we arrived. Owner was very responsive to any questions and even checked in to make sure we had everything we needed. I would stay here again.
Great place to stay for a beach vacation!
This place is great! I is clean, comfortable and made to allow one to feel "at home." We had a problem with the parking passes not being left from the previous tenants, yet Ryan was quick to respond and created a quick solution to a problem.
Property has everything for a relaxing Santa Cruz getaway. Everything in walking distance. Great property.
Such an enjoyable stay!
This was the perfect location for us. Walking distance to local breweries, restaurants & the boardwalk. The house had the cutest beach decorations, all the necessities needed for a weekend stay & the awesome lounge area out front! The house was small but still plenty of room that comfortably fit 6 of us! Overall, great house & we hope we’re able to stay during the summer!
One of the great things about 5th Haven is its location. Once you park you never really have to drive again. The home is a short walk to the beach, Santa Cruz harbor, restaurants, live music, surf/ paddle board/ boat rentals, beach volleyball, and fire pits. Of course if you want to venture out, downtown Capitola, and downtown Santa Cruz are only a few miles away. There are two parking spots available in front of the home and public transit is available right down the street.
