This was a perfect spot in Boston. It was central to everything we wanted to do!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed with our two boys 11 and 13. This was a perfect location. We parked our car for the duration of our stay at the Charles Street Garage. It was a short walk to the Condo and a great 24 hr price. We walked or took the T everywhere we went. The place is small as mentioned and does have an interesting alley that you need to walk down to get to the front door. It served our needs perfectly. We do a lot of cooking while traveling because of diet needs. The kitchen was basic but we were able to do the cooking we needed without any problems. We would recommend this property and stay here again!

GREAT LOCATION! A cozy, quiet apartment perfect for exploring Boston.

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I plus two teenage daughters loved the cozy little apartment on Beacon Hill. The accommodations were clean, comfortable and well furnished with all the necessities. Considering the nearby hospital and firehouse, I was also surprised how quiet the apartment was.

The location was also perfect for exploring Boston. We walked to most destinations, and either took the T or Lyft for the further locations. Subway and train stations are only a 15 min walk from the apartment. There are plenty of shops, restaurants, and markets nearby so having a car is not necessary. The symphony performs on the River Bank, which is a 15m walk as well.

The owner Sandra was also very accommodating with our early and late connections. I would highly recommend this apartment to others.

Great condo in the perfect location!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I just stayed in this beautiful condo with our 12-year old son for Memorial Day weekend. It was lovely, well-equipped, and in the perfect location for exploring the city.

Comfy apartment in Beacon Hill

  • 3 of 5

This little apartment was perfect for the 3 of us but better for 2 after our daughter left for home. It was clean and neat and had everything we needed for our stay. You have to step down from street level into a little tunnel to get to the courtyard where you find the apartment entrance but there is a light in the tunnel so ok at night. The tunnel and courtyard had a sketchy feel but were perfectly safe.

I would have given it four stars but......

  • 3 of 5

For the most part everything was okay. The building's Beacon Hill location is great. The owners were very responsive. The unit was clean. I am giving this rental 3 stars because when I read the listing, it said first floor. I was surprised to find that the apartment is below ground level and is more of a basement unit than traditional first floor.

Once you retrieve the key, you walk down 3-4 narrow steps below street level into a dark narrow space where you open the door to the "tunnel" mentioned in an earlier review. Walk through the tunnel into a wide area and then down 3 or 4 more steps to the apartment door. You are definitely at the back of the building, below ground level, without immediate street access. The windows face retaining walls, so there is no point in opening the window blinds.

I don't like giving a 3 star review because the owners were very responsive and everything functioned as detailed, however I think it is incumbent upon the owners to detail that the unit is at the back of the building and below ground level. That is not a problem for many people, but you might want to ask for pictures of the street entry, the unit door, the courtyard and views from the windows. Those pictures will help you make a more informed decision.

Again I wish I could give a higher rating.

Cute, small and comfortable apartment.

  • 4 of 5

A small, cute and centerally located apartment in Beacon Hill. The entrance is a bit strange as you have to go through kind of a tunnel before you come out into the small courtyard where the front door is located. (Would not be wheel chair accessible) We had a little trouble with the tunnel keys working but managed. As well, the dryer kept turning on and off but the owner said she'd have it checked. it certainly met our needs and we were able to walk to or Uber to anywhere we wanted to go.
