Hale Nene Poipu is named after the wild hawaiian geese that flock near the lake.
The upper floor has a great room with vaulted, wood-inlaid ceilings and stone floors throughout the upper dining, gourmet kitchen, and living areas. Huge glass doors recess completely into the wall for an indoor/outdoor living area opening to a covered lanai with built-in BBQ, table and lounge seating The upper lanai enjoys a wide-open sunrise/set, lake, golf and ocean horizon views. The gourmet kitchen is fully-equipped and includes Wolf, Sub-Zero and Kitchen Aid appliances and mountain views. The upper master King suite has vaulted, wood-inlaid ceilings and golf, sunset and ocean views. The master bath includes a soaking tub, stone-lined walk-in shower and walk-in closet.
The lower floor has a second complete spacious master suite and en-suite luxury bath, a third bedroom with two twins and a third full bath. There is also an open lower media area with an optional queen sleeper. All lower rooms open to the private pool, spa and covered lower lanai with seating.
The home is 1 mile from the ocean and 1.25 mile to Poipu beach. Beach chairs, towels, and umbrellas are provided. Less than a mile from the house is the Poipu Shopping Village with island-theme boutiques and galleries, Starbuck's Coffee; Keoki's Paradise, a fun island/tiki torch garden restaurant; art galleries; a general store with many basic groceries and island items, the addictive Puka Dog stand with fresh lemonade; Kauai-made gelato shop; Bangkok Happy Bowl Thai food, surfing stores and free Hula shows on an outdoor stage by the local hula school. The luxe Shops at Kukui'ula are 1.5 miles away with a Roy's and a Merriman's Restaurants, Tommy Bahama and many boutiques, restaurants, live music and an excellent gourmet market event each week.
Hale Nene Poipu is privately-owned. We live in Alaska and use it for our holidays from our work and school and thus work to maintain it in excellent condition for our enjoyment - and yours.
