Ludlow, VT Farmhouse- perfect summer air, a big flat yard to play, hike, bike, walk, run, relax the local lake beach, swim in the waterfall or just drive around in your car or bring your motorcycle!
You will find our home convenient to everything you need near town, with great mountain views (of the actual trails on both Okemo and Jackson Gore!) and awesome sunsets to end your daylight hours.
Walking in from the rear enclosed porch, you will be able to unwind with your gear and packages in the Mudroom which has an updated washer and dryer. This opens right up to a very well equipped kitchen where you can cook a great breakfast, dinner, or pack a lunch for your day out in the Green Mountains. If the weather and the fresh mountain air are calling you outside you are welcome to use the Grill and Picnic table as well. Also on the first floor is a comfortable dining room where our gas fireplace is, and this opens right up to the living room so everyone can spread out as you wind down, great wifi, cable and a movie library. The first floor has a private updated bathroom with an oversized stand up shower.
The second floor is where you will find and settle into three bedrooms and the second bathroom. Two of the bedrooms are queen beds and one bedroom has two twins, but they all have a view of the mountain when you wake up!
We have a clean comfortable basement perfectly set up for hanging out. Here you will find an entryway from the back of the house where you can leave and hang all your ski, hiking, biking or golf gear. There is also a ping pong table , some really cozy hanging chairs, and a futon that faces a TV with a DVD player. Bring your favorite Gaming System if you would like! There is a staircase that leads right up to the living area from here as well. So come right in this way with your gear, or you can come from the living room.
Outside, other than the picnic table and grill, we have a large side yard where you can play wiffle ball or let the kids run around. If you listen closely, you will hear the Black River about 100 yards away, so you can venture there if you would like, or just listen in.

My girlfriends and I went up to Ludlow for a long ski weekend, and this house could not have been better! The owners were incredibly friendly, easy to work with and communicative, which made the process as simple/seamless as possible. All in all, they are lovely and so is there home.
The house is so well-situated in town and was perfect for our group. It has everything you need and more for a great ski weekend, and we absolutely fell in love with Ludlow! The town was so friendly and so well set up for easy skiing (even for out of towners). We have already talked about being in touch with you about coming back over the summer/fall. Could not recommend more.
Our family rented this home for a week at Christmas time. The house was clean and well kept with abundant fluffy new towels on each bed. The location was perfect - a mile from Okemo and even closer to our favorite restaurant, Harry's! Also an easy drive up Route 100 to Killington for a change of pace. The owners were friendly, helpful and very responsive to every inquiry. They even contacted us while we were up at Okemo to let us know about a special event occurring at Jackson Gore in case we were interested. The house met our needs perfectly - we highly recommend it!
My friends and I were looking for a place that could accomodate up to 8 people for a good value for my birthday weekend at Okemo Mountain. It was my friend who found this place and after talking to Chuck I realized this would be the perfect place. The location was perfect as it was no more than 2 minutes from the mountain and right between the main base and the Jackson Gore. The property was very clean and very homely. The amenities provided made the stay way more enjoyable as there was coffee, tea, bottled water, and condiments for food. There was more than enough room for everybody to sleep and relax after we got back from a day of skiing. THE VALUE OF THIS PLACE CAN NOT BE BEAT. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone and everyone looking to have a good time in Ludlow
Our family stayed in this lovely home over Christmas break. The house is even nicer than the pictures. Very spacious and extremely well equipped/stocked. Location is a short drive to Okemo Ski Resort. The owners were fantastic !! They responded quickly to any questions we had. We would highly recommend!! Thanks
It’s all here. We hope you consider our home to enjoy all that Vermont can offer: great mountain air, endless outdoor activities, local food and shopping. There is no better way to escape the daily grind, and feel stress melt away and discover what the Green Mountains can offer.
For Scenery: outside the winter season you can drive up the Mountain to a lookout point and there is a nearby short hike with a spectacular birds eye view of the local lakes, you can take a short drive or brisk walk to Buttermilk falls which is great year round, but a great place to cool off in hot weather.
Vermont is more than well known for hiking we are close to some great local trails but also a short drive to several National Forest entrances for endless exploration.
If you are here for skiing Okemo/Jackson Gore is the closest and easiest, but we are also a short drive from Killington, Pico, Stratton, Bromley, and Ascutney if you want to break things up or meet some friends. You can also plan a longer day trip up to Sugarbush which is in the middle of a national forest as well.
Warm weather activities are often overlooked in Vermont, we are near several beautiful golf courses, a local beach with paddle or row boat rentals and great swimming, and also you will see hundreds of bikers as well in summer months. Check out local event calendars for events you and the family may be interested in.
What you will love about this location is not only the activities, but you are in the middle of Ludlow which is a great town with great people, a great main street, shopping and restaurants.
If you want to combine a nice drive with visiting other parts of Vermont, we are very close to the historic towns of: Woodstock, Manchester, Weston and Wallingford which offer shopping (local and also outlets in Manchester), restaurants.
Life is simple, relaxing and fun in Vermont but make sure to pack your favorite items whether its Golf Clubs and Hiking/Walking gear and Beach gear for the lake in the summer months, or Skis and Snowshoes for the winter.
