Smoky Mountain Vacation
About Smoky Mountain Vacation
As natives of Waynesville, we love living in the mountains and enjoy the casual living here. Never a big believer in spending any unnecessary time in traffic kept me close to my childhood roots. Birthing babies and raising them in the mountains with the small town atmosphere and the closeness of family and a mix of great friends never had any doubts where we belong.

Why Smoky Mountain Vacation chose Waynesville
My great great grandfather found love in these mountains back in the mid 1800's and settled down to be farmers with a knack for growing apples. Our family had a small cabin where the present house sits since the 1950's where we gathered for picnics and camp outs. We couldn't pass up the opportunity to build our dream home here. It has always been considered one of the better views in Haywood County. We designed our home to reflect the beauty of the environment surrounding it and for the home to blend into the mountain. You will love to watch the sunsets as they change daily and we can honestly say we have never seen the same sunset twice. There may be a better house or a better view but there is not a better house with a better view.

Million Dollar Views
The property was everything I expected and more. The views were breathtaking. The house had full on suite bathrooms in every room. We really enjoyed the seclusion from the world and yet how close we were from the town of Waynesville. We will definitely be back.
Great mountain getaway with a gorgeous view.
Wonderful property with unbelievable views.
Let's all keep this to ourselves...
We read everyone's reviews and were pretty excited. Like many of the other guests, we've done several VRBOs and AirBnBs over the years and this one is really at the top of our list. David is a great host and the type of person you'd like to be friends with.
The house is as described with the awesome yard, fire pit, and incredible views across the valley and mountains. We were also pleasantly surprised at the vibrant Main Street. Tons of nice little shops and restaurants. The Ingles grocery is great with an impressive local/craft beer selection for hanging around the fire pit, foosball table, or gas logs.
We also really appreciated that we could bring our dog. He had the best time running around like a wild animal. I think others commented that this house is not only for dog people - there was zero dog smell at all.
Another benefit is the tons of great hikes within a 30 minute drive as well as the Blue Ridge Parkway (was closed during our stay but drove up anyway - probably 20 cars parked at the gates and folks just walking on it instead of driving - pretty cool).
All in all a great trip and we will definitely be back again.
Hiking and mountain biking trails next to house.
