Beautiful property, you almost think your back in time. Definitely will be coming back next year
My family and I enjoyed our stay in this beautifully decorated home located right off the river. It was equipped with anything you would need to enjoy your stay. The house instructions answered any questions you would have thought of. We will most likely be coming back next year.
We had the best two weeks and this was the perfect location for it all. The amenities offered were way beyond our expectations! From the well stocked supplies to the canoes and equipment for our use, everything was thought of and ready when we checked in. Karen and Kendall were very gracious and always available when we had questions. The property is very private and yet just minutes from the necessities. We would love to stay here again in the future and hope we get the opportunity to do so. Thank you so much for the wonderful vacation spot!!!
Lovely home with all amenities and comfort expected. Only issue was access to the dock. We selected the site because of availability of fishing, purchased our licenses ahead of time, and then we're sadly disappointed. The 1x10 makeshift ramp to the dock was unacceptable and frankly a poor workaround.
This was the perfect place to celebrate our daughter's 14th birthday! The "cabin" was amazing! We were a little nervous driving out to it because it is in a very remote area off of several dirt roads and we were arriving at night ~ once we arrived at the house, we were pleasantly surprised ~ it exceeded all of our expectations! There were 3 canoes available; we didn't use them because the river seemed to be flowing pretty quickly and we didn't trust our own skill to paddle against the current to get back, but all 3 canoes seemed to be in good condition. The downstairs area was a hit ~ there is a pool table and we really enjoyed playing foosball. We went fishing off of the floating dock (which is a little tricky to get out to with the board you have to cross, but my daughter and I were able to do it :) ~ the firepit by the riverside was nice, as was the porch swing ~ we were able to watch some boats cruise by early in the morning ~ and watching the sunset from the dock was beautiful. We loved that the cabin is very open concept ~ and all the amenities of home (and then some!) we're provided. My daughter loved seeing all the small trinkets around the house ~ the moving wooden man by the fireplace, turtle skull, and especially the "old timey" lava lamp as she called it :) ~ The house was convenient to many springs that we visited during the day ~ we were even able to swim with manatees in a nearby town! Her birthday was PERFECT. Karen was very friendly and prompt in her responses. Thank you so much for sharing your little piece of paradise with us!
