About Jeremy Ray

I am currently the Superintendent of School in Bidderford, ME. The property was owned by my grandfather who once operated a sardine factory in the town of Milbridge. My wife and I are renting for the first time as we are unable to come up every week. My family and friends still live about a 1/2 mile from this location.

Jeremy Ray purchased this house in 2013

What makes this house unique

The house offers a private setting on a working waterfront. I don't believe you will find a setting like this anywhere else. It is unbelievably close to the ocean and lobster boats.

This place is remarkable!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed a week from 5/31-6/7/17. We have rented homes in many places all over the world but I knew we had arrived somewhere very special when we took the left hand turn into the driveway. I can't begin to describe the property and the view that we looked at everyday. This home is located in a very quiet fishing village away from the hustle and bustle and yet 30 minutes from everywhere. The house is older but the feel and history of the home is breathtaking. You are surrounded by life in Maine and humbled by the magnificance of the area. We will return to this place. I thank Jeremy for allowing us to be a part of his family home and experience the "way life should be".

Amazingly beautiful location!

  • 5 of 5

My cousin and I spent 5 nights at the house and absolutely loved it! The house was clean, decorated perfectly for a seaside home, and quite spacious for just the two of us. The town of Milbridge is only a few miles down the road and has a grocery and several restaurants (which we did not get a chance to try, as we took picnic lunches and then had dinner at the house), so you will want for nothing. The house's location directly on the rocky coastline with the fishing pier off to one side - but not too close - and boats moored just beyond the shore is gorgeous. Watching the boatmen load lobster traps and head out for the day made for some fun entertainment on several mornings. We traveled as far south as Acadia National Park and as far north as Campobello and highly recommend both. The East Quoddy Lighthouse (the easternmost point in the United States) is also a must see! Since we left hoping to return again, I can honestly say that, if you want to see Downeast Maine, you should stay here!

Amazing Place

  • 5 of 5

Might be the best place on the Maine coast. Fantastic view of the ocean, working lobster boats, and breathtaking sunrises.

The house was well-stocked with everything needed for a short or extended stay.

We highly recommend this property. It is clean, quiet, and quite convenient to the small town of Milbridge.

Sunrise and lobster boats

  • 4 of 5

Jeremy and his family do an excellent job of providing a comfortable, relaxing home with views of islands and lobster boats. If you are seeking a spot away from the crowds on Mt. Desert, this is the place! The house is well equipped and the town of Milbridge is close by for food shopping. The lobster pound is half mile from the house.

Campobello, Acadia and Schoodic Point are all within reach.

We had a great week at this cottage.

Lovely accommodations on secluded property overlooking the bay

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in this home for a few days on our first trip to the Northeast. The home was perfect for my wife and I, and was a relaxing getaway for our 25th anniversary. Small town nearby where a lot of the locals make a living fishing the waters off the coast. Beautiful view from the deck of the lobster boats and fishing pier 50 yards away. The owner is very helpful in recommending places to go for the local fare, and answering all our questions promptly. Highly recommended! Great value!
