Located in the private gated community of Sunset Marina just a short drive from Old Town, you'll be able to enjoy everything that Key West has to offer. Yet, you'll be in your own world with a large balcony overlooking Florida Bay and the Gulf of Mexico beyond.
***This home is available for lease by the month, in accordance with local ordinances strictly enforced by the City of Key West. The minimum lease is for 27 nights in February and for 29 nights during any other period.
THE PRIVATE GATED COMMUNITY...
Sunset Marina is a gated community located on Stock Island, right off the entrance to Key West. The location is a great balance between being secluded in a private community yet still only a short drive into the best of Old Town Key West. With your rental home at Sunset Marina you’ll have plenty of space for parking, both covered garage space and visitor space, as well as access to the private waterfront community pool.
THE LIVING AREA...
This beautiful condo is a second floor unit with expansive views of the Florida Bay. You'll have plenty of room to spread out, with a large main balcony, open living area with plenty of seating, and even a wet bar area. A large flat screen TV sits in the living room. The kitchen is completely equipped, with everything a good chef would need to prepare the most ambitious meals and even room for some sous-chefs.
The master bedroom with a King bed and faces the waterfront, with a door to the main balcony facing the ocean. The en-suite master bathroom is a highlight of this home, and has twin vanities, oversized shower and separate Jacuzzi and tub. The second bedroom also has an en-suite bathroom, an overhead fan and two twin beds that can be converted to a King bed. Both bedrooms have flat screen TVs and plenty of closet and dresser space.
Central Heat and AC, Ceiling Fans throughout, Heated Community Pools and Jacuzzi, Private gated community deck with BBQ Grills, Washer/Dryer, Cable TV, DVD Players, Full Gourmet Kitchen, Linens and Towels provided. Interim housekeeping provided upon request. Wireless high-speed Internet access, private, gated garaged parking plus additional visitor parking. This property will accommodate up to 4 adults. We were there a month and enjoyed being out of the mainstream. Location is near the only golf course and is in walking distance. Other additions, sirens of ambulances due to hospital down the street. View of the town dump mountain behind the building spectacular! The Animal Rescue Center was also nearby, so if you were in need of adopting a pet temporarily, you could walk over and get one. Looking over the Marina was beautiful with gorgeous sunsets and at the same same enjoy the building that housed the jail. Also down the street was a bus stop where the homeless gathered to be dropped off and picked up to be taken to shelters. Enjoyed it very much even with the extra additions.
We stayed at this unit for the month of January and loved the marina outside the door, sunsets, the proximity to Key West old town (short car ride) and to all the shopping, movies etc that are nearby. If you want a nice 2 bed unit in or close to all the Key West action you will like this one. The rental company was also very good to deal with.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sunset Marina. We were able to see photos of the condo on line when we met with Alex at Last Key Realty on Duval. Alex was very helpful and expedited the rental process smoothly. The home was spotless and included everything one needs to live comfortably. I asked if we could drive out to the property and see it in person. Although the unit was occupied, Caryn, our hospitality specialist, drove us out to the condo, where we walked the property. That trip was the seal on the deal. Caryn met us at the entrance when we arrived, helped us with our luggage and set up my computer (condo has wi fi).
My wife and I have already booked for 2016 and would recommend this home to friends and relatives. Shopping, beaches, water sports and old town are close by. There are so many great restaurants to enjoy..we especially liked LaTeDa, Stoned Crab, Latitude, Martins, Antonias, Hogfish and Roostica. We are already looking forward to next year and it is only March.
