This is without a doubt the best Tennis Villa in the complex, when you consider location, condition, accessibility, and willingness of owners to accommodate you.
Everything in this unit is top of the line, from the tasteful designer furnishings to the smallest gourmet cooking tool. The unit was completely renovated by an interior designer a few years ago. It has quality hardwood flooring downstairs, and top-grade carpeting upstairs. Stainless appliances, marble countertops, designer touches. Two master suites with balconies (the views are spectacular from both) accommodate the most discerning guests, and a newly built loft (the only one among the two-bedroom Tennis Villas) accommodates a single bed and study/reading area. Two private baths upstairs, powder room downstairs.
A patio looks out onto the pool and is equipped with dining table, two lounge chairs and deluxe gas BBQ.
Best location among the tennis villas: It boasts the best pool view in the complex, and is shielded from the tennis courts by a thick hedge. The unit is far enough removed from the tennis courts so that you just hear the gentle pluck of tennis balls, no more. A quick walk takes you to the tennis pro shop, and then to the hotel lobby and restaurants. No walking on busy streets to the hotel; just meander through tennis courts, beautifully manicured grounds and charming casitas to get to your destination, whether it's the coffee shop for a morning cup of joe, or to the Adobe Grill to hear the evening's performer on the plaza. Those wishing to venture farther on foot may walk to Old Town La Quinta for shopping, for coffee, or for lunch or dinner.
The Santa Rosas encircle you here, turning purple or pink depending upon the time of day. Cooling breezes waft through the living spaces when windows are open in the afternoon.
You're in the middle of the action, but peacefully situated.
We are a family of four and live in the Pacific Northwest. We have two daughters, one who just graduated college, the other teaching 6th grade. My husband and I own some commercial real estate which we manage. We love to be active: bicycle riding, Harley riding, boating, fitness and working around the house. We love our little dog, Beau, who often accompanies us on our travels.
Janis purchased this condo in 2010
We purchased this unit in December 2010 because we love coming to La Quinta and love hanging out at the La Quinta premier tennis resort. The long Pacific Northwest winters start to get to us and we often need a sunbreak. We want to spend more time in our condo when our children are a bit older and more independent, but until that time we want to share it with you!
We enjoy being in the middle of the action of the prestigious La Quinta resort nearby. The open fire pits at night and beautiful flowery courtyards are our favorites. The condo, though is tucked back away from the resort, but still close. So we have our privacy, but within steps can be at the resort. It's the best of both worlds!
This Tennis Villa is so well-maintained. Many other Tennis Villa units we've stayed at in the past have been showing their age. This one is top of the line in every way, from the wonderful furnishings to the location: private, with views of the mountains and pool. The owners were very attentive and easy to deal with. I'd recommend this place to anyone wanting a nice getaway near the hotel.
The villa is beautiful and very well equipped. We enjoyed our stay very much.
The tennis villa was a comfortable way to spend our week in la quinta. The kitchen was updated. The pool and hot tub were easily accessible from the backyard. The villa was tastefully decorated and the cupboards were well stocked with dishes, spices etc. However, it would have been nice to have a TV in upstairs master. Also the fireplace was difficult to ignite. A modern gas starter would be great. These are small items in the scheme of the wonderful time we spent at the tennis villa.
We enjoyed our stay in this gorgeous tennis villa. It had everything we needed and was so easy to use. The kitchen had all of the incidentals we needed and more.
The process of renting was superior as the communication was great and timely.
I can't think of any drawbacks to this property. It was very clean, very comfortable, we cooked every night and had everything we needed. The proximity to La Quinta and the tennis courts is amazing. The front gate had our names and facilitated our arrival as well as comings and goings with graciousness.
We loved our stay at this beautiful villa. It was a treat to stay in such a comfortable home on the grounds of the la Quinta resort. The location was perfect for our concert experience. Quiet, clean and enjoyed our afternoon pool time and the la Quinta resort restaurants. We are hoping we can stay here in the future!!!!! Thank you Becky and Jim
