Relax here or use this fully furnished cabin as a launch pad for your Leavenworth area adventures. This cabin offers peace and quiet with its location in the Ponderosa Estates Community. In the summer you will find beach access to the Wenatchee River as well as community trails to explore just a short walk from your doorstep. Wander over to the community park to play volleyball, basketball or let the kids play in the playground. If you want to venture out further, the Lake Wenatchee State Park is just 8 miles away. You can also borrow one of the many hiking/guide books at the cabin and choose a nearby trail to spend a couple hours or the entire day, seeing some of the spectacular scenery that the area has to offer.
The roads to the cabin are plowed, making the cabin a perfect base camp for all winter activites. Enjoy the holiday festivals in Leavenworth (just a 16 mile drive away) and then retreat back to the peace and quiet of this cabin in the forest. If you are a skier/snowboarder, Stevens Pass Resort is 30 miles away. There is also a cross-country ski trail system with rentals available from the Hardware Store in the town of Plain (just 5 miles away). If you want to stay more local, bring the kids and play in the snow right at the cabin, the sledding hill is just a short walk from the cabin and sleds are provided so that you can get in a few runs down this local hill.
The opportunities for outdoor activities in this area are really too many to list. Come by for a visit and see for yourself.
My husband and I come out here often to hike, rock climb, backcountry ski, ice climb and mountain bike in this area. There are seemingly endless numbers of rocks and trails to explore! But, though we would love to spend more time in the mountains surrounding Leavenworth, we can't be out here all of the time; he works and I'm a full-time graduate student. So, we have decided to rent out our cabin in order to cover part of the cost of ownership. What this means for you though, is that we are happy to share our cabin so that you can explore this amazing region of Washington for yourself.

I can't imagine a better place to spend my leisure time than Leavenworth and the surrounding lakes and mountains. This cabin allows my husband and I the comforts of home, and is in a location that gives us easy access to countless trails and activities. I'll never run out of things to see and do here.
The main room with attached kitchen and deck is perfect for gathering family and friends here.
Really well kept cabin in a great neighborhood. The owners are very kind and do a great job keeping the cabin clean and comfortable. My two little criticisms would be the bed in the master is a bit small and dips in the middle if you are bigger folks. I am 5'11 and my husband is 6'1. They are also on a septic tank and give warnings about the use of the water in the jet tub. That was one of the features we were interested in using after seeing the features. We did have the septic alarm go off several times but were able to turn it off ok. Overall I think this place is definitely worth it for the money. And a side note - if you are going in winter with kids there is a sledding hill very close by and it was awesome! Met lots of really nice families. Very cute community.
This was a charming little cabin that fit my family of 6. It was far enough away from everything that we didn't have very good cellphone service and there was no wifi, so for us it was perfect. We wanted just a chance to be away and not have any distractions from the outside world. We traveled to Leavenworth a few days and enjoyed the fun little shops. I am deducting a star for cleanliness because we found hairs a lot, the toilets weren't well scrubbed inside and my baby, who likes to roll around, would always have a bunch of things from the carpet on her. We don't wear shoes inside houses so it wasn't from outside. Otherwise it was wonderful. The sledding hill is easily accessed by going through the neighbor's backyard. She is very kind and helped us out when our car battery was dead. I would stay here again and possibly will if we visit again.
We really enjoyed staying here and being a little outside of Leavenworth. Only a 30 minute drive from town and we saw snow before anyone since we were in the mountains. It definitely feels like a getaway! The spot was perfect for our group for a girls weekend. We had a blast!
We loved this place from the second we walked inside. We were experiencing really hot weather so to walk into a nice cool cabin was wonderful. The cabin itself isn't exactly off the beaten path, but the location is very convenient. We enjoyed using the well stocked kitchen and the super clean grill. The home itself was also very clean and comfortable. Loved the master bath with Jacuzzi tub!
We came to relax and get away--basically do nothing! So, this worked out great for us and would have been great if we were looking for an adventure too.
We'd love to come here again and would also recommend it to anyone looking for a place to stay that is located between Lake Wenatchee and Leavenworth.
Interior was maintained well; exterior not so much.
Directions and communication from owner was excellent.
Would come again
Good size cabin in a quite location. Valerie, the owner, was super friendly and helpful. We forgot to take something from the cabin and they offered to drop it at our house! The cabin has everything you need, all you have to bring for your stay is food. Gas grill was brand new and worked great. It's about 30 min drive from Leavenworth, but still better than driving from the Seattle area. It must be nice to stay there during winter and enjoy the warmth from the wood stove while watching snow through large windows. There is no WiFi, but if you truly want to enjoy your stay you really don't need internet. We definitely recommend it. Thanks!
