The Barn was exactly as advertised. We enjoyed our stay very much. Very clean, nicely decorated and well organized. The hosts have thought of everything from snacks to dog bowls. The property is well kept and beautiful. Stacy is a gracious friendly host and really easy to communicate with.
Cozy, comfortable, very new and updated, well decorated, snacks and coffee available, easy access to Sunday River. Owners communicated well and were very approachable. Would recommend to anyone!
This is our 3rd time staying at this amazing and unique property. The distance to the mountain is irrelevant based on the cozy, well appointed and first class environment of your lodging. The host and hostess could not be more charming, friendly or customer service oriented. Not a detail is missed in making your stay memorable. We will be back again for sure!
My husband, two kids, and I stayed at this cozy, cute and very clean chalet attached to the main house. The owners are easy going, courteous and very kind. We enjoyed the place for 4 nights. We actually had to skip skiing one day due to below zero temperatures. Even though the chalet was small, we still had enough room to be comfortable and not feel cramped (thanks to the loft upstairs where the kids would hang out).
One detail that my husband did not realize when renting this place was the kitchenette instrad of a full kitchen. I had brought food to cook with. Unfortunately, each meal would take twice as long to cook with one plug in stove plate. Cleaning took longer too with a smaller sink. The small fridge was also too small for all the food but luckily it was so cold that I was able to store food outside on the balcony. Despite this drawback, we still had a great time and had our homemade meals. If you don't mind a kitchenette, it's a perfect hideaway for a small family.
We've stayed at the Barn 3 times and can't wait for our upcoming return 4 trips to the Barn. We've been coming to Sunday River for years and where never happy with the local lodging since everything was noisy with uncomfortable beds. I was thrilled when I saw that this rental has a temperpedic mattress and had to try it. We did and absolutely loved it! It's great for a couple or a small family. Our 7 year child loves staying in the "cabin".
Stacy and Brad are the nicest hosts and really nice people. Stacy has thought of everything and her passion for decorating shows in the barn. Everything is super clean and you can tell that she takes care of the Barn as if she was staying there herself. It's the one place where I'm not horrified if I wake up and the blanket is on me! It has a little kitchen and we've found it perfect for cooking a quick breakfast or reheating dinner if we are too tired to go out after hitting the slopes all day. It has a comfy couch and chair to watch tv/read. It's super warm, and we love the gas fireplace. It may be cold in Maine, but it's always nice and warm in the barn! It's also only about 45 minutes from Santa Village/North Conway, so we've stayed in the summer as well and it was great.
Our family of four had a wonderful stay at the barn! Our preteen-aged children loved the tree house feeling of the loft area. My husband and I loved the comfortable elegance of this uniquely designed space. The memory foam mattress was extremely comfortable after a 10 hour day of skiing. The snow covered forest view through the glass French doors was gorgeous. A perfect place to relax after a long day skiing. A snow shoe along the frozen stream behind the house was a bonus treat! Thank you for a wonderful stay!
Just a short 15 minute drive from Sunday River Ski Resort, this property is not your typical ski rental. We are located adjacent to the White Mountain National Forest, where cross country skiing, snowshoeing and hiking are right outside your door. Kayaking, canoeing and fishing are popular local activities.
