Start the day with coffee on the patio, grab your bikes and let us shuttle you to the top of the McKenzie River Trail or head out to Tokatee for a round or two of golf, maybe go for a stroll and take in the view at Sahalie Falls, then come back and grill some steaks on the barbecue. There's plenty to do on the property too - badminton, horseshoes, fishing on Horse Creek, just a short stroll through the woods from the cabins or Delta House. Or take your bike for a spin on our new, professionally designed and built pump track! Finish off the night playing cards around the poker table, or maybe relaxing in front of the fire with a glass of wine. So many adventures and experiences await you here, there's something for everyone, no matter what your interests are!
For our mountain bikers: ask about our shuttle service (discounted for our guests) for McKenzie River Trail or O'Leary Ridge. And warm up for your ride by taking your bike for a spin on our pump track, designed especially for us by Kirt Voreis and built by Dirt Mechanics out of Bend, OR. For those interested in adventures on water, ask us about our guided river rafting trips on the beautiful McKenzie River - perfect for people of all ages and ability levels. We also offer stand up paddle board rentals - they're a fun way to get out on the water and explore the beautiful and pristine waters of the many lakes and reservoirs in our area.

After falling in love with Horse Creek Lodge 2010, became the owners early in 2011. We're outdoor enthusiasts who hope to inspire others to enjoy the outdoors as much as we do. It's a family business, so you'll often see our son and daughter re-stocking firewood for guests, doing yard work, and helping out wherever we need them to. When we're not working on the property, we raft, hike, bike, or if it's wet or snowy, we just hunker down in front of a warm fire in the living room and read, play games or just relax.
Alyssa Brownlee purchased this lodge in 2011
My husband and I fell in love with the area one summer during one of our rafting trips on the McKenzie River. We decided we wanted to to be able visit more, but didn't want to have to camp, so why not buy a vacation home?! We enjoy the property year-round, as do the many golf groups, mountain bikers, skiiers, quilters, and just regular families who visit throughout the year. Most groups love the place so much that they book their next trip before they even check out!
The Delta House is tucked away off the main highway, surrounded by trees, so you're in a very private setting. You can hear the whisper of Horse Creek and the McKenzie River in the background, the sound of the wind rustling the leaves on the trees, catch a glimpse of wildlife - elk, deer - on the property. You have access to acres and acres of Forest Service Land, including some areas of old growth forests, that are only accessible through our property. It's beautiful year-round, no matter the weather! You're so close to world class mountain bike trails, Tokatee, Hoodoo, and so much more! Our property is a favorite among mountain bikers (thanks to our location, shuttle service, pump track), golfers, adventurous families, and retreat groups.
We stayed here last summer as part of my bachelor party/trip. Could not have picked a better spot to hang out with my buddies. Alyssa, the owner, went out of her way to make our experience perfect. She worked out our rental bikes ahead of time and made sure all adjustments were completed before we got there. Not only were we stoked to hit the trail but really enjoyed the owners company during the shuttle ride to the top. She even came out searching for us when we...ahem...didnt make it back at the estimated time. Seriously we could not have been happier seeing her waving at us in the pick up van cause we were wiped out!
Coming back to the cabins we were able to quickly start the fire in the fire pit with ample access to wood from the wood stack. Cabins themselves were spacious and kitchen was big and had everything we needed. The next morning we went out exploring and found trails that led to the creek. Really cool location that would be great for really anybody or group. Didn't get a chance to play volleyball but will definitely hit it up next year!
Thanks Alyssa for making the trip really memorable for me and my bros!
