When Fred and Marie purchased this little piece of Lake George on Mossy Point Road in 1979 the property was underdeveloped. With determination, hardwork, much hardship, creativity and commitment to their dream of building a family getaway for all to enjoy they began the building of this home. The house originally consisted of the main floor, a loft, an unfinished basement and an uncovered sun deck. As the family began to grow from its original 6 members to the now 31 members, they realized that more bedroom and living area space was needed. They decided to configure the ground floor for extra living space.
In October of 2007 Marie lost her battle with lung cancer before renovations on the lower level were completed. Fred stayed committed to their goal and along with the efforts of his second wife, Joan, brought that dream to fruition, resulting in a warm and welcoming space that offers comfortable accommodations for 8.
Lake George has been a vacation getaway for the fifty years that Fred and Marie were married. It was love at first sight! The northern part of the lake is quiet and has less boat activity than the southern area of the lake making it perfect for all kinds of water sports. This is also a great location from which to tour the North Country, the Adirondacks, Lake Champlain Region and Vermont while making the most of the beauty of one of the premier lakes in the country.
The most unique benefit in renting this property is that it's cozy enough for a small family, yet roomy enough for a larger group.
This ground floor apartment is truly unique in its open and airy room design. The views from each of the bedrooms offer its occupants beauty while the inviting colors of each room wraps one in warmth and security.
The property is 0.26 miles south of New York State Mossy Point Boat Launch and 1.41 miles north of the town beach while only being 2.26 miles from the heart of town.
We stayed @ Luberto's while in Ticonderoga for a family wedding. The house more than fit our adult sized family of 8, with one toddler. The view is outstanding, couldn't take advantage of the water due to time constraints, but the water access definitely requires water shoes. Bedrooms were good-sized, and house was comfortably furnished, plenty of parking.
Joann and Frederick Luberto were great owners during my stay. Right from day 1 they were very timely in answering my text messages and any questions I had.
Their directions were clear cut in explaining how to find the keys and enter the house. The house is beautiful from the outside, with a long looping driveway.q We were all so excited from just how the house looked, we ran straight to the backyard and were in even more awe with the lawn space and lake view!
The inside of the house is very spacious and was perfect for my friends and I. It was very clean&kept, modern, and we loved all 2 and a half bathrooms (especially the master shower).
We had access to their paddle boat and canoe which we all had so much fun using. Really, the best part about this house is how close the lake is. The lake is clean, cool temperature, and clear water. Hanging out on our blow up raft and swimming was the highlight of our trip =)
We will definitely be back and I highly highly recommend this amazing getaway!!!!!
Very Nice place, we enjoy, beautiful view...Hope to go back soon, to short stay 😀☀️💝🚣
The location directly on the lake is wonderful! Minutes from a small beach where the water is very clear. Everyone loved it! Very grateful for the owner letting us setup a tent in the front yard too!
The microwave wasn't working in the main unit, but since we rented the whole first floor, we were able to use the one in the small suite. Also, the kitchen have very limited supplies in terms of spices and all. Not sure if the listing mentions it. And there is not that much natural light coming in the first floor, but it's summer time and we spent all of our time outside.
All in all a great spot!
We were two families with children sharing this rental space and truly enjoyed our weekend! The children were able to run around in the back yard and be escorted to the dock to do some fake fishing. The decor inside is slightly dated, but clean and comfortable. There was a bit of a plumbing issue to look into but the owners responded right away and have someone coming out to take a look. The location is close to town which is very family friendly and is also close to a beach and playground that we very much enjoyed. Overall really nice stay!
The view was amazing , the house was well kept I will definitely recommend my friends to stay here . I would go back , thinking about making it a yearly trip to lake George . Thank you for everything loved the house .
The biggest bonus with this rental is that the historical NYS Mossy Point Boat Launch is 0.26 miles from the rental and is free for the launching of boats. The Ticonderoga town beach is also free and is just 1.41 miles from the house.
This rental sits on the northern shore of Lake George and only 2 1/2 miles from the southwestern shore of Lake Champlain. Fort Ticonderoga and Mount Defiant, both integral to the country's fight for independence, lay in the area between the two lakes.
Ticonderoga is an hour drive from Glens Falls, Lake George Village, Queensbury, Rutland Vt, and approximately one hour and twenty minutes from Burlington Vt, Lake Placid NY and Saratoga Springs NY. In just under two hours one can be headed to Albany NY while in just under three hours one can visit Montreal Canada.
