Stay at one of the most special places on Madeira Beach, and enjoy one of the most outstanding and updated condo units available. This corner unit condo is high above the beach on the seventh floor, and boasts an enormous tiled balcony with full view to the West and a simply spectacular view of the Gulf of Mexico and the beaches.
The master bedroom features a beautiful white wood king size bed, with full access to the balcony for you to wake to the sights and sounds of the Gulf. The connected large, double-sink bathroom with tub/shower is fresh and newly updated, and there is plenty of closet space available. The second bedroom is furnished with a comfortable queen bed, and the second bath with walk-in shower is just outside the door.
The kitchen is all updated, with granite countertops, stainless appliances, and fully equipped for all your cooking needs. In the spacious living room, the condo is equipped with a large screen TV, DVD player, and full stereo system. Two comfortable couches for relaxing and gazing out at the Gulf, and comfortable seating for four at the dining table.
This is the perfect spot for relaxing and enjoying all that the area has to offer. Easy walking distance to shops, restaurants, activities, and Johns Pass Village.
Overall a great place to stay. great location and pool area is very nice. Very convenient having codes to get into the building and condo. Condo is updated throughout except the bathrooms. Perhaps they are next and could probably use it but they were clean which is the most important, just older than the rest of the place. Balcony is large and great. Overall a great stay, would recommend.
The photos portray the place accurately. We had a wonderful time. Enjoyed parasailing and dolphin watching. We visited the Clearwater Aquarium and of course enjoyed the beach. The beach front of the condo was great! It wasn't as busy as other areas. The pool and hot tub were wonderful. Our balcony was my favorite I enjoyed sipping coffee in the morning and watching dolphins! Very clean!
Only suggestion would be more comfy pillows and softer beds.
We have been vacationing to this area over the past 20 years and have never stayed at Ocean Sands....man have we been missing out! Our unit and the views from our unit were exactly as advertised in the pictures! The unit was clean, organized and had everything we needed for our stay. There were even some beach chairs, umbrellas, and a cooler in the closet that we were able to use! iTrip customer service was on top of their game. I emailed them a couple times and they responded within 15 min. I would definitely, highly recommend this property to anyone visiting the area. Dockside Dave's, Waltz Fish Shack, Mad Beach Pub and Middle Grounds grill are "must-eats" as far as restaurants go and it is very nice being only about a mile and a half from John's Pass! We stayed for a week and didn't even need to rent a car. This was a new strategy for us but we could walk or Uber (less than $10/ride) and it worked great!! We also went on a 1/2 day private charter fishing trip with Captain Bill Fehl and had a great trip and fresh fish for dinner that we caught ourselves!!
Only two minor complaints: It would have been nice if all the locks (to pool, pool bathroom and beach) were code entry just like elevator lobby so you don't have to worry about keys. Also, the last couple of days we were there management got picky about having your drink in the pool. This was not a problem for the first few days....not sure why they started barking at us about that?!?
Had a great stay at Ocean Sands. The accommodations were just as the photos portrayed. The location, parking, pool, beach access, everything was perfect! Would have liked to have had a toaster in the kitchen, but everything else was great! And was so appreciative of the beach chairs, umbrellas, sand toys, pool noodles, etc. since we arrived by plane. Wonderful stay in spite of Tropical Storm Colin!
We were skeptical after reading one of the reviews of this Unit on Home Away Website. But we rented this Unit for a week with friends and could not have been happier. The pictures on line are just as the Condo looks. It was clean, and well maintained for an older unit. Had all the household amenities as well as items to use for the Beach. The pool area was fabulous and the view of the Gulf for our Unit was Fantastic. Saw dolphins everyday and sat on the balcony to enjoy the weather and view every night. I would recommend this if you are going with friends or even if you were traveling with your children. The staff was very helpful and friendly as well. We enjoyed the grill and Tiki Huts to relax by as well. Can not wait to revisit in the future.
We rented this unit for a week and we could not have been happier. The unit was clean, well stocked with house hold amenities as well as items to use on the beach. It had a fantastic view of the Gulf and the pool area was awesome. Although this is an older building and could use a little paint I would say the building and unit are well maintained and I would recommend this Condo to anyone. We can not wait to re-visit for years to come.
