I have lived in Mill Creek for 12 yrs and love this area. I own a ceramic painting studio in Bellevue called creatively yours and also I own and take care of vacation rental properties. I travel often and spend my summers in the San Juans or at my cabin in leavenworth.
The Owner purchased this house in 2001
This is my private home, I'm also interested in trading homes.
It's a great location and very private. The property is on a green belt that looks out to a lake with lots of wild life.
This property is now at the top of my list of the VRBO places we have rented. It is a fully, and I mean FULLY equipped home that has everything your own home has. It is located in a very nice and secure neighborhood and close to the things you need in every day life like grocery stores, restaurants and so forth. A vehicle is probably preferred but there is a bus route within walking distance that can take you to a park and ride from which you can take a bus almost anywhere in the county. And, if you can't use the HOV lanes on the major roads, then taking a bus is highly recommended (which I did for 35 years when I worked in downtown Seattle). The owner is very accomodating to your needs and easy to communicate with which we found to be extremely helpful. Lastly, the VRBO photos have not been photo shopped (as we have found some other rentals to be) so what you see is exactly what you will find when you rent here.
This was the second year in a row that we have rented this home and both times we rented for an entire month. It is a very convenient location for bus service to downtown Seattle where there are endless site seeing attractions; Pike Place Market, the waterfront, Seattle Center, ferryboat rides, shopping, etc. It's much easier to take the bus than to drive into downtown Seattle. Some improvements in the home from last year included a new flat screen TV, new D/W, interior painting (peachy earth tone which adds additional warmth). The home feels so comfortable and the back yard has flowers, scrubs, beautiful covered BBQ area, outside dining, a fire pit and lots of seating. Both the front entry and back area had the most beautiful pots of red flowers which we were happy to water every couple of days. But one of the best features of the home is Kathy; she is so easy to work with and wants her guests to be comfortable. We have already made our reservations for next year.
This was a perfect place to settle in while assisting my daughter with new grandchild. As we live in condominium now, I enjoyed the privacy of patio and landscaping, even practicing my gardening skills on the flowers and unique plants. Our two older grandchildren (6 and 4) enjoyed some sleepovers and the nearby park and nature preserve. The house is furnished with some unique African oriented decorating and other items that they also enjoyed though making it a bit nerve racking protecting everything. I took pictures of a heron and also saw a bald eagle fly over the lagoon behind the back yard. There are also nice walking trails, along with shopping, in Mill Creek, just to the north. This is a great location if your focus is on north Seattle, mountains, and Islands to the north, thus avoiding much of the traffic toward the city.
Kathy was easy to work with and very professional. The house is in a very nice neighborhood and the area is safe and inviting. We had a problem with the furnace and she had it fixed immediately even though it was on the weekend and cost a lot more than normal because of an extra service fee We would definitely stay at this or any other of Kathy's properties without hesitation.
This home was a wonderful location for us. Our families live close by and there is easy access to freeways and bus service. We were able to walk to a bus stop for a short ride and then transfer to another bus to downtown Seattle. The home is in a quiet neighborhood and the area is a walkers paradise. Mill Creek town center is close and inviting. The home was very clean and comfortable with a beautiful back yard and patio for relaxing. The furnishings are first class and the owner was very helpful and accommodating. She was available to make sure we were taken care of. We felt very fortunate to have been able to stay in this home and look forward to returning.
We felt so fortunate to have found this home to live in as our own for 6 weeks in between selling our home, and being able to move in to our new one.
It was literally turn key. Everything you could possibly want.
I loved being so close to Mill Creek town center. Lots of trails to walk my dog.
