We stayed at La Bella Vista in August 2016, my family rented 4 out of the 5 cabins. My 80-something parents to our 22 year-old son, we all found things to enjoy:: kayaking; row boating; fishing; swimming; reading by the lake in the sun or shade; hiking; family dinners; Scrabble and Dominos; just peace and quiet; lots of laughs; nightly campfires; even trips to the local stores and restaurants for a couple dinners and a breakfast place a couple times. Our "cabin" was more like a house, although you could tell we were in the woods...we were visited by the local friendly rooster, ginnea (sp.) hens, chipmunk...My husband wasn't so sure if he'd be able to wind down and "what would he do up there for a whole week?". He was the first one I heard to say he'd "go back there again"! We might even bring the dog! Thank you for a wonderful place for our whole family to enjoy, even the two pugs!
This is a great property, 2nd trip here for steelhead fishing. Great location, cabin is in great condition, clean and well appointed. Peaceful setting, with views of Autumn Lake. Brian was awesome as usual, friendly and very helpful. Will stay here for many years to come.
I rented this house for a 4 day weekend with a group of 9 friends. Everything in the house was in great shape and though it was a bit tight for all of us, that really wasn't a problem.
The lake was beautiful and we were glad to have the boats.
It's a bit far from here to Alexandria bay or Watertown, but we made the drive a few times to go rafting, flyboarding, and for dinner.
I'm not sure how best to describe our vacation except PERFECTION! We were so excited to arrive with our two young sons and dog and were beyond happy with the cabin. The pictures don't do it justice! The layout (multilevel) was awesome and we didn't want to leave to go home! We met some very nice people staying in the other cabins and our dog made some new friends. The lake was quiet and we swam, paddle boated and kayaked for hours every day. We enjoyed smores over the campfire and I relaxed on the multiple porches and docks every morning with my coffee, which was exactly what I wanted on vacation! Brian was very helpful and gave us directions to Salmon River falls (beautiful!) and the fish hatchery just up the road. Pulaski is only a 10-15 minute drive away with super friendly and helpful staff at the bait shops. The boys are already begging to go back and we definitely will! They fished for the first time and just loved this relaxing family vacation. Being able to take our dog, have wifi and everything we needed to cook meals was a god send. Thank you again!
The house was a lot bigger than we expected and we quickly made ourselves at home. It was a very quiet and comfortable stay. We had a great time taking the boats out many times and catching lots of fish. The kids had a great time being outdoors and also enjoyed the convenience of the wifi and cable. We will absolutely be back!
The owners Brian and Melissa have done a wonderful job renovating and decorating the cottages on Autumn Lake. Cottage 5 was perfect for the 6 of us, but it really does sleep up to 10 people! The cottage was very spacious and very clean. We enjoyed fishing during the day and a wonderful campfire at night! If you book Cottage 5, you will not be disappointed, we will be back again!
