Fabulous flat in terrific location
This flat is exactly as per the listing. Close to train station by taxi, if carrying larger bags. It is located on a small quiet street, but just around the corner is everything you could need for a wonderful stay. Stores, shops, restaurants and pubs all within a short walking distance. Constant action, yet so quiet when you return home to relax. Close to subways and buses so easy to return to airport. We walked everywhere. Piccadilly circus, Trafalgar Square and link to river cruises was approx 2.5 km -3.5 km away, not difficult and totally enjoyed the vibrancy of London. The check in process was a total breeze. The flat was nice and clean, modern and kitchen was even equipped with the basics of salt, sugar etc. The bathroom had shampoo, conditioner and body wash also available. Loved the little washing machine and dryer, certainly came in handy for a small wash needed after a busy 3 week trip. Would not hesitate to rent this flat again !
Excellent Flat in London
We stayed here while visiting London to attend a concert at the Palladium - about a 12 minute walk. Plenty of restaurants, pubs and shops within walking distance. Tesco and Tesco Express nearby for groceries. Very close to the British Museum and the Goodge Street tube station.
- excellent location
- great neighborhood
- well appointed kitchen - all appliances
- washer/dryer combo
- cable TV with TiVo DVR - lots of channels
- full size clothes drying rack - best in any VRBO we've used
- comfortable bed
- full size shower with good pressure and endless hot water
- very clean
- good communication with owner
- third floor walk-up/no elevator (as advertised)
- no microwave
Overall an excellent flat and we'll look to book again the next time we're in London. Thanks, Amit!
Although we found the unit to be a little short on bath towels, everything else was great. I would stay here again. Loved having the washer/dryer combo and Dyson fan. Location was perfect. I would definitely recommend it to anyone.
Ideal London flat
My wife and I and our 6 year old son stayed at the Fitrovia flat for 8 days this August. Couldn't have been happier with the flat - clean, comfortable, functional and location wise can't be beat. The owner and manager were terrific to deal with and the whole process of booking, checking in and out a breeze. Overall awesome value for money and I would definitely stay here again on another trip to London.
Highly Recommend This Flat!
This London flat was terrific. My husband and I stayed here and it was perfect. Kitchen had everything we needed, including a washing machine, which was a lifesaver! Wi-fi and television all set up well. Location is wonderful! Definitely our ‘go-to’ flat next time we’re in London!
Close to everything
It was conveniently located to the subway stations, pubs and stores.
Fitzrovia is a brilliant area in the West End. Walking distance to the shops of Oxford St and Regent St, the theatres across the West End, the bars and nightlife of Soho and Covent Garden, and the trendy restaurants in Fitzrovia itself.
Goodge Street tube station (Northern Line) is three minutes walk.
Oxford Circus tube station (Central Line, Victoria Line, Bakerloo Line) and Tottenham Court Road tube station (Northern Line, Central Line) are both 10 minutes walk.
Bus stops on Tottenham Court Road serve most of North and Central London.
Street taxis are easily available on Goodge Street.
Getting to the apartment:
From St Pancras International station (Eurostar terminal), the best option is to take a taxi because it is only a 10-minute journey. The bus route requires some walking and the tube route requires changing line, so taxi makes more sense for such a short journey.
From Heathrow Airport, the options are:
- Fastest (and most expensive) option: take the Heathrow Express train to London Paddington station, and then take a taxi for the 10-15 minute local journey.
- Mid-speed (and mid-priced) option: take the Heathrow Connect train to London Paddington station, and then take a taxi for the 10-15 minute local journey.
- Slowest (and cheapest) option: take the London Underground (tube). Piccadilly Line to Leicester Square, change to Northern Line, go northbound to Goodge Street station, then walk to the apartment. Changing lines in the tube with luggage is inconvenient.
From Gatwick Airport: Take the train to London Victoria Station, then take a taxi, or tube to Warren Street/Goodge Street.
From Stansted Airport: Take train/bus to London then tube to Goodge Street.
