This five and one half bedroom house was one of the first houses in the original subdivision. It was built by two families as a ski cabin and is comfortable with groups large and small. It is on a level lot and backs up to open forest. It is unique in that there is a private back yard with fire pit to enjoy the starry nights.
The open floor plan of the kitchen and living area makes for enjoyable meal preparation and easy conversation.
Bedroom one and two are on the first floor. Bedroom one has a queen bed and bunk with a double on the bottom. Bedroom two has a queen and twin. There is one bath downstairs and one bath upstairs.
Upstairs is bedroom 3 with a queen bed, bedroom 4 has two bunks, one with a double on the bottom. Bedroom five has a king size bed. The house originally had six bedrooms and this room now has a washer and dryer that can be hidden behind the screen and has a twin bed and great view of the forest.
It is a great neighborhood for quiet walks and there is close access to hiking the Old Lincoln highway as well as the Pacific Crest Trail.
This comfortable, authentic cabin is and continues to be a great vacation destination for families of all sizes.
The house is tucked into a quiet back corner of the area situated on a curve so that the few cars that do pass by must go very slow. This makes it a very safe area for children, pets and playing. It is a short walk to the beach and a great area for biking.

Front yard and private back yard with lovely adjacent mountainside and firepit in a quiet corner close to beach. Great for hiking, biking and relaxing. The fabulous Sierra mountain air is like no other-instant relaxation.
This house is wonderful! It's large but retains the cozy cabin feel, has two great decks for relaxing, a nice fire pit and beautiful woodsy location. Away from the hustle and bustle of busier Lake Tahoe, Donner Lake has everything we need for a great family getaway, and the house can accommodate all of our grown kids and young grandkids as they come and go according to their schedules. The location is fantastic. It is on a quiet street and walking distance to West End Beach. The cabin is clean and comfortable.
Our son's wedding was in Truckee. We needed a place for our children and grandchildren to stay. This was perfect! The layout of the house is great for a large family. The house is very clean, kitchen well stocked with everything we needed. The back yard is wonderful! The kids loved climbing on the rocks, plenty of seating for family gatherings around the firepit. Great location to the beach.
The owners, Donna and Joe, were wonderful to work with. Check in and check out was very easy.
We would definitely stay here again in the future! Loved our family wedding celebration in Truckee!

It was a beautiful location and a great value. The house is charming and sleeps a ton of people (18 I think)! The owners were easy to communicate with and very friendly. It had lots of parking and the kitchen was well stocked. We would love to come back soon. We went in the summer and enjoyed Donner Lake alot! This is a hidden gem!
Light and homey cabin. Plenty of room for our family 4th of July. It was quiet yet part of a wonderful community that has captured the old time qualities of the 50's . The cabin had everything we needed and did not disappoint in anyway. Donner Lake has not kept pace with the world and that makes it a very special place to experience. Joe and Donna were very helpful and accommodating. Thanks for sharing your beautiful cabin!

We hope you will enjoy your stay at our mountain getaway. The address is 15805 Conifer, at the corner of Conifer and Cottonwood. Take Maple Street off South Shore Drive to Conifer and turn right- you will run right into the driveway. The lockbox code is 1290, the two upper left buttons and two lower right buttons. Push the center tab to release the key. The code will need to be entered again to reset the tab to replace the key. Everything should be self-explanatory upon entering, except perhaps the antique, powerful vacuum that runs (if you are interested in using it) by pushing down on the silver clip. The internet code is the same as the cabin phone number 530-587-6690. Thank you for taking care of our home. I have included the housekeeping rules for your convenience.

Cabin Rental Agreement
Check in time is 3:00 Checkout is 10:00am. If the water is off because of cold weather, the turn on valve is in the closet of Bedroom 2, downstairs.
Please observe the $50.00 per pet fee.
The following is required at checkout (10 am) to avoid extra cleaning charges per housekeeper:
Cleaning at $200.00 will serve to remake all the beds. $180.00 if you prefer to wash the sheets and place them on top of bed they were removed from
Dishwasher to be run. Cleaning service will put away. Extra dishes washed and put away. A load of towels washed and dried. House straightened up, furniture you may have moved is to put back. Trash from kitchen removed and placed in bear box.
Any excessive laundry washed, dried and put away, including any extra sheets that may have been used.
Excess laundry charges if stains on bedspreads/ furniture. Excess charges are 30$ a load/30 minute
The BBQ grill must be clean and the exterior free of grease and debris. Pick up any outside litter (including cigarette butts) that you may have inadvertently left behind.
Failure to meet any of the above requirements will result in additional cleaning charges that will be ded
