One of the best locations in Charlotte! Located on a quiet, tree-lined residential street in the historic district of Dilworth, 1.5 miles from the central business district (Uptown), you'll be able to walk to 3 parks, two full-service grocery stores, 40 restaurants, wine shop, yoga and massage studios, coffee shops, art galleries, consignment shops, neighborhood pubs and other amenities. A transit stop 1/2 block away provides bus service directly to Uptown and SouthPark (upscale shopping) every 15 minutes. Light rail is only a 15-minute walk away. Carolinas Medical Center is 4 minutes away by car, or an easy 15-20 minute walk. A bike is also available for your use upon request to make use of the bike lanes and paths in the neighborhood.

This super-comfortable, spotlessly clean, quiet, large one-bedroom apartment is in a historic 8-plex apartment building built in 1920, and has been completely remodeled with attention to all the details. High ceilings, refinished original hardwood floors, original 2-panel doors with glass door knobs help the apartment maintain its original character. It is furnished in an updated traditional style with modern flair, with an emphasis on comfort.

Perhaps the best feature is the large private screened porch, overlooking the front lawn, which provides a comfortable and mosquito-free outdoor living and dining area to take advantage of Charlotte's wonderful climate, whether for breakfast in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening.

We've recently undertaken a complete GREEN renovation on the building, including dual- pane windows, high efficiency HVAC, energy efficient lighting, dual-flush toilets, ceiling fans, tankless water heaters and new insulation for comfort.

In the fully-equipped kitchen there are brand new cabinets, quartz countertops and stainless steel appliances, including a gas range and refrigerator with ice maker. Washer and dryer are also included in the apartment for your use. There is a desk, a printer, wifi, and a small stereo cd player with a place for your Ipod or MP3 player, a large flat screen television in the living room and a smaller one in the bedroom.

400-thread-count linens are provided for the King size bed, and there is an inflatable queen size air mattress if you have guests. Egyptian cotton towels are provided as well.

The ground-floor apartment has a reserved parking space, an outdoor patio with gas grill, recycling facilities and composting. The grounds are well-landscaped with native and drought tolerant plantings. You'll feel safe and secure, with keyed access required for both the main entrance and the apartment.

Most of our guests are repeat clients who book in advance, so please book early. We think we've thought of everything you'll need for your visit, but if not, we live right around the corner so can help with anything you might need. With enough notice, we'll be happy to stock the apartment with your choice of food, beverages, etc. I'm a native Charlottean, so am happy to provide any help during your stay, including restaurant suggestions, art openings, events, etc. Just ask! Why Jim Hock chose Charlotte

Historic Dilworth is among the best and most walkable locations in the city. The neighborhood is made up of a nice mix of people who value the convenience of living so close to Uptown, but in a quiet setting with tree-lined streets, wide sidewalks and non-cookie-cutter homes. We do most of our errands on foot or by bike, and enjoy being out and about in the neighborhood.

What makes this apartment unique

Located near three parks, several grocers, a farmers market, wine shop and dozens of restaurants, it's a great place to park your car and explore on foot or by bike.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and found the apt to be extremely comfortable. It was close to our daughter.. enough so to be able to walk.. the neighborhood is lovely for walking, as you know! I think the apt was well stocked and can't think of anything at all that we didn't have.. actually, this is our 3rd experience renting a furnished apartment. We had one in NYC last May and one in San Diego last July.. I have to tell you, your apartment took the cake. I will highly recommend! Thanks again!

Charlotte Vacation

I would highly recommend this location. The stay was delightful and the unit was a pleasure. How thoughtful to have dinner and breakfast already in the refridg so we did not have to go shopping the first night. The Gin/Scotch/Vodka were a special treat. We will be back!

Amazing Place to Stay in Charlotte!

Our family just spent 5 great months in Charlotte, and the Magnolia Green in Dilworth was a fabulous location and felt like our home away from home. The apartment was stocked with everything, and the staff and crew took great care of all our needs. We will definitely be staying here again when we return to Charlotte!

Perfect location for a fun and relaxing getaway in Charlotte.

My daughter flew in from New York and I drove from Asheville to have a fabulous Mother/Daughter weekend in Charlotte. I looked on VRBO once dates were set; for a quaint, inviting area and place to stay. Dilworth in Charlotte seemed the perfect location, and Jim's property looked so inviting. We were not disappointed. Walking into the apartment, we were immediately filled with a welcoming atmosphere. Food and wine was available in case we didn't have time to get supplies on arrival. The kitchen was well equipped, as were the living area, bathroom and bedroom. There was one chair in the living area that I used for my stay to read. We enjoyed morning coffee on the porch. And the bed was so comfortable. I came home and felt so different. I realized I had actually forgotten what it felt like to truly relax. Thank you Jim for allowing us to be present in your home.

safe, convenient, comfortable

My daughter and I stayed for about a week in this charming 1/1 in the Dilworth area. The condo was comfortably furnished, the kitchen well stocked, and the location perfect. I really appreciated having a dedicated parking space. The location was extremely convenient to museums, shopping and restaurants. The neighborhood was quiet, lovely and felt safe. Charlie, the property representative, was very responsive as well.

Perfect accommodation for our stay!

My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights for our son's wedding and found it perfect in every way. We love older properties with lots of character in neighborhoods with tree lined streets. It was close to downtown, we had a Food Lion a short walk away, and a gorgeous park for our grandchildren close by as well. Upon our arrival, we found a food basket, wine, and assorted libations for our enjoyment. The kingsize bed was super comfortable and the screened in porch was great during the great fall weather. We would certainly stay here again.

LOVED it!!!

This was our first time in Charlotte and so knowing nothing I took a chance on this apartment/location when I booked it--What a GREAT find! This apartment is lovely- clean, charming, comfortable, convenient, and very well stocked with kitchen equipment, linens, amenities, etc. The hosts are so gracious and generous, and provided us with all sorts of helpful information before and during our stay. Communication and transactions with them were seamless. There is all sorts of parking at the property but we did not have a car, and instead used the (easily navigable) Charlotte transit system extensively. Its an easy 15 minute walk from the apartment through a beautiful neighbourhood to the Lynx light rail train which takes you to Uptown/Centre City (main transit connections, sports, museums, restaurants, shopping) in minutes. Though the street is very quiet and completely residential, there is a large grocery store very nearby which was SO convenient and the tavern near the grocery store was great for a casual meal one night. There are many other restaurants and shops within 15-20 minutes of the property-- so lots of options. We took a cab from the airport when we arrived, but transit was so easy to use and accessible we took the very inexpensive airport bus ("Sprinter") back. There are also lots of parks and trails nearby for walking and running. Its very much an oasis in the middle of a bustling city. I would recommend it to friends and stay again in a heartbeat.
