About the property

Our Little Ranch Retreat

We invite you to stay at our warm and welcoming little ranch retreat. Our home has travertine tile and hardwood flooring throughout. Antique items decorate most every room. Our home comfortably sleeps 6 to 8 guests.

We have 3 spacious bedrooms with ample pillows, down comforters and extra blankets for each bed. In addition to the large beds, there are also a full-sized pull out sofa bed and twin-sized rollaway bed.

There are 2 full baths equipped with thick absorbent towels and basic toiletries. The master bath has a large custom built shower and a separate roomy jetted tub. The other bath features a claw foot tub with a one of a kind overhead shower.

In the main room you can sink yourself into the over-sized leather couch, love seat or chair for watching television, socializing or to simply relax at the end of the day’s adventure. The den has a comfortable place to sit and enjoy our small library of horse related reading material. There are many board games and toys to entertain all ages as well.

Our fully stocked kitchen has everything you need. Bring your groceries for preparing simple snacks to cooking gourmet meals. The kitchen and dining area are open to each other making it a perfect place for family and friends to gather.

Our horses, which are located on the property, are an absolute plus. They’re eager to take carrots from you and to make you smile.

We have staggering sunrises and sunsets most everyday. Stars appear in numbers beyond belief in the crisp clear night air as the Grand Canyon area has some of the darkest skies in the world.

It’s always fun to roast marshmallows while sitting around the fire ring located outside and taking in the unobstructed mountain views. Relax under the large 700 square foot patio / awning which is equipped with an outdoor kitchen and barbeque grill.

Our little retreat is peacefully secluded from the hustle and bustle yet it is conveniently located about 30 minutes from the south rim entrance to the Grand Canyon. Enjoy the amazing Grand Canyon at the viewpoints of the rim. Hike a trail, take a river trip or view the wonderment of her beauty by air tour. We are also located about 30 minutes from the historic City of Williams where you can shop its unique stores and visit local attractions such as Bearizona.

Come visit us for your vacation or getaway. A positive guest experience is truly a passion of ours so we know you will certainly enjoy your stay.

Wonderful stay!

  • 5 of 5

Very quaint and comfortable house about 30 minutes from the Grand Canyon. Our family of kids, grandparents and adults enjoyed the comfy beds, the jacuzzi tub, the game room, and feeding the horses. As a bonus, the stars at night at this location are wondrous to behold. Way better than any hotel you could stay at and much more memorable.

One of the best vacation rentals we have stayed in!!!!!!!

  • 5 of 5

I don't know quite how to explain how wonderful this vacation rental is! The attention to detail from the owners, Maxine and Bob, was outstanding.

First thing I would like to mention is that the beds, linens, and pillows were of the highest quality. I didn't want to get out of bed in the morning!

After a day hiking at The Grand Canyon we loved coming back to our "home" and relaxing and spending family time. The owners have made sure you will not want for anything once you arrive (of course take any perishable food necessary). They provided firewood for wonderful evening fires. There was bubble bath for a long soak in the tub after hiking. They even provide books, games, toys for the kids, and pack and play if you have very young children.

Max called me the day of check in to make sure we knew the place was ready (early) and give us instructions to get on the property.

We don't often stay in hotels and prefer vacation rentals. We have stayed in dozens of vacation rentals since about 2003 and this is by far one of the best!

Thank you Maxine and Bob!

Gratefully,

Sam

Highlight of our vacation

  • 5 of 5

Such a welcoming and relaxing place to stay. Very close to the South Rim of the canyon. Comfy beds. Charming decor. Friendly horses. Everything you need to cook, hang out, and relax. Great value for the price. Thank you Max!

Great spot

  • 5 of 5

Very charming, cozy place. Only complaint is the lack of hot water. We had a group of 7 adults but were only able to get 1/2 a shower before the hot water ran out. That was the only disappointing part of staying here in January.

Owner's Response:  We are happy to hear that you and your group enjoyed your stay.   Sorry to hear you ran out of hot water.  We will look at the water heater to ensure nothing is failing on it.  We just wanted to mention that the home is equipped with a relatively large water heater (40 gallons) and is kept at a very high temperature setting.   This usually is enough for most groups.  The more people there are however, the more frugal and conservative you must be with the hot water if everyone wants to shower back to back.

Best stay during our vacation!!

  • 5 of 5

My family and I (8 adults) were on a 3 week long vacation traveling around the US. We have to say that our stay here in max and bob's cabin was the best. The cabin is extremely comfortable and you will feel like you have everything you need during your stay. We got to spend some time feeding the horses and they were beautiful. Will definitely come back again when we revisit Grand Canyon!

Cozy, quiet, comfortable

  • 5 of 5

The home was very comfortable! The kitchen had almost everything we needed (with the exception of a normal size cooking pot--only sizes available were small and huge!) and I loved the antique stove. The horses in the yard were a big hit with our kids. Maxine left carrots and granola for us to feed them. She was great with communication--she texted me a long list of amenities available in the kitchen and baths as we drove up so we wouldn't have to buy them at the store. We had pretty bad weather during our visit so the satellite tv and dart board were great when we had to stay inside. Recommend to anyone visiting the Grand Canyon area!
