About Nicolle and Robert

Nicolle & Robert are your Inn Keepers and Sandy & Jerry are the property owners!!

Jerry and Sandy have always considered New Mexico a second home. Having the sights, sounds and smells of the high desert has always been a privilege.

Sandy was born in Santa Fe and having relatives in Albuquerque and Santa Fe has certainly made the stays in Rio Rancho welcoming and fun.

Even though Jerry was born in Atlanta he feels a strong affinity for the desert southwest and particularly the high desert area.

Nicolle and Robert purchased this house in 2006

Why Nicolle and Robert chose New Mexico

The proximity to Albuquerque and Santa Fe made Rio Rancho the ideal location to purchase a home for Sandy & Jerry!

The pleasure of being able to get up every morning and say 'Good Morning' to the Sandias is a piece of Heaven.

The neighbors are special and have always looked out for us.

What makes this house unique

Sandy & Jerry love these things about 'Sandia Vista':

Our family has always enjoyed the hiking, horse back riding and skiing that the area offers.

Pueblo feast days are enjoyed by everyone and the pueblo people always make visitors feel welcome.

We are surrounded by pueblos and they are very unique. Traveling up Highway 4 through the Jemez

Mountains is spectacular. Stopping along the Jemez river to listen to the river and eating lunch in Jemez Springs

makes everyone happy. Continuing up '4' through the Valle Caldera and onto Los Alamos then down through Santa Fe

makes for a full pleasurable day. Every time we head in a new direction there is so much to see and enjoy.

Just a day of shopping in Santa Fe or Old Town Albuquerque is unforgettable. The 'Rail Runner' (train stops in Bernalillo just down the road) to Santa Fe is full of vistas as it travels along side the pueblos and through Waldo Canyon. Since Sandy is an avid casino goer, the surrounding casinos are a draw. (Better than Vegas) Out of town guests are always waiting for the next invitation to come.

AWESOME! AWESOME! AWESOME!

  • 5 of 5

"Sandia Vista" was truly one of the best vacation properties we have rented. Nicole & Robert have provided everything you could want in a home away from home. Comfortable dwelling, well stocked kitchen, pantry, refrigerator and linen closet. The view of the mountains were indeed stunning. My daughter and I spent every morning out on the patio watching the sun come up with coffee & hot chocolate in hand. Finally on the last day, we got the husbands and grandchildren up in time to do the same. Beds were very comfortable. We used this home as a base for our day trips all over New Mexico - easy access to major highway. "High Five" to Nicole & Robert on a job well done!

This is the 3rd home we have rented from Nicole and Robert. Each home has been warm and inviting. The interior of the home was so nicely decorated and Nicole and Robert do a great great job making sure that all amenities are available in the home. We travel regularly to Albuquerque and look forward to continue to our next stay at one of Nicole and Robert's properties.

Wonderful property

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at Sandia Vista for several nights as a jumping off point for seeing the area around Albuquerque. The house was beautifully decorated and had everything we needed for our stay. It had a great location for visiting sites all around the area. It was very comfortable to relax on the back patio and grill out at night and the den area was super comfortable! The owners were very attentive to our needs. Loved it!

Rio Rancho is just a 15 to 20 minute drive to Albuquerque & Only 35 minutes to Santa Fe! Historic Albuquerque, New Mexico is a combination of the very old and the highly contemporary, the frontier town and the cosmopolitan city. It is a city with a rich history famous for its multiculturalism reflected in its public art, museums and architecture. The Albuquerque experience is not man-made or contrived. Our petroglyphs, vistas, sunsets, food, historic attractions and lifestyle exist with and without tourism. The Albuquerque experience is wrapped up in four wonderful seasons.

There are a variety of things to do in Albuquerque. Whether you're visiting one of our 14 beautiful golf courses, taking a hot-air balloon flight over the scenic Rio Grande Valley, mountain biking in the Sandia Mountains, hiking among dormant volcanoes, horseback riding along the river or strolling through Old Town or visiting a local winery, you'll find Albuquerque offers a real breath of fresh air. Don't miss the stunning views of the city from Sandia Peak Aerial Tramway, as it slowly climbs the 10,378-foot peak of the mountains that form Albuquerque's eastern border.

Prefer high heels to hiking boots? There are lots of indoor Albuquerque tourism opportunities as well. Albuquerque, the largest city in New Mexico, is packed with activities, cultural attractions and distinctive sightseeing opportunities. Start your Albuquerque experience with a visit to the National Hispanic Cultural Center, the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center or one of our 19 museums and immerse yourself in art, culture, cuisine and cultural performances. There is so much to do, you may need to add an extra day to your visit!
