About Paula Knauft

Paula and Robert live in Laguna Beach, California and enjoy good food and wine. We travel extensively ourselves and enjoy experiencing new places including the unique wines and food of the location.

Paula Knauft purchased this house in 2011

Why Paula Knauft chose Willamette Valley Oregon

For several years we looked for a second home in the wine country. Finally we found the ideal location our Maison Vigneronne - vineyard home. Now we have a place to stay when we visit our daughter and grandkids and a place to share with others who enjoy the beauty of Oregon and the fine wine and food produced there.

What makes this house unique

We love the beauty and serenity of our home and gardens. We are surrounded by nature and active vineyards. Most times of the year we can forage something from the land: herbs, walnuts, cherries, berries, apples, pears and much more.

Guestbook comments from the manager

Great weather for wine tasting. Here is a list of our favorites, we recommend them all: Ponzi, Argyle, Domaine Serene, Domaine Drouhin, Remy, Erath, Brooks, Eyrie. Joel Palmer House is a must, especially if you like mushrooms.

Thank you for your hospitality Paula and Robert. We hope to return in better weather to enjoy the grounds.

Great location in the heart of the wine country...

  • 5 of 5

This was a perfect location, just south of Dundee and about 15 min. north of McMinnville with good grocery shopping. This made wine tasting very convenient. The house was wonderful! Kitchen was well equipped and we enjoyed having a gas grill to cook on. The grounds are lovely. Lots of great little nooks to sit and read. Especially loved sitting out on the back deck admiring the view over the valley and sipping a wonderful Pinot noir. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

Beautiful!

  • 5 of 5

What a beautiful little Home! Well appointed, cozy, comfortable, welcoming - it just feels like a little house in paradise. The view of the vineyards and valley...the elegant gardens with fresh herbs...the fireplace...well appointed kitchen - it could not have been a better experience. We spent a romantic three nights, and wish it could have been longer. Robert and Paula were a joy to work with. I cannot give a higher recommendation. Thanks Robert and Paula, for allowing us the privilege of staying at such a beautiful spot!

Lovely home and beautiful setting

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our stay at Maison Vigneronne.....just perfect for my husband, me and our 2 adult sons. Each morning we had breakfast on the deck with a magnificent view of vineyards, rolling hills and Mt. Hood (on a clear day). The kitchen was well stocked, there were plenty of linens and the house was very clean. After breakfast we went to wineries, so many to choose from within just miles of the house. The first evening we ate at The Painted Lady (wonderful, need reservations) and the second evening we ate at Tina's (great food and atmosphere). Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us!

Great Getaway!

  • 5 of 5

The views were fantastic, property well maintained, and we had everything we could need in the home to make our stay very comfortable. The owners were very responsive, the location was ideal for us, it was so relaxing. We loved the fire pit at night and enjoyed seeing hot air balloons floating across the valley in the morning.
