Enjoy springtime at the beach with the spring bird migration, walks on the beach with all the newborn birds, and low humidity.
Our wifi-enabled beach retreat in the Emerald Beach I subdivision has 3 bedrooms- the master has a king bed with twin futon and twin daybed in closet, 2nd bedroom has a queen bed and queen futon, and 'the kids room' has a double/twin bunk bed and double futon. There is a queen sleeper sofa and a twin sleeper sofa in the living room. One of the bean bags in the living room opens to a double mattress.
The large covered deck overlooking the canal is enjoyed by all either for relaxing, reading, or conversation. Nap on the ample chairs on the decks! Glide yourself to sleep! Continue on the deck to sit at the table for cards or a meal under the umbrella. Finally there is the hot tub seating 6 with a sun bathing deck over it.
Watch the sunset or drink your morning coffee on the north side deck. Enjoy the overhead view of the kids playing on the basketball court down below.
The downstairs screened-in party room was the addition after the hurricane to replace the garages lost. It features a bar area including sink and full shareable refrigerator. Custom benches encircle the room and there is are 2 tables with chairs and games such as foosball, darts, ping pong and ring toss. There are bar height chairs for sitting at the bar area or around post tables. A DirectTV satellite TV sits on the bar for the sports enthusiasts to watch their games or for some Sirius music. Just outside the door is a custom Pitts & Spitts smoker/grill perfect for smoking all those delicious Texas meats and grilling 'shrimps on the barbie'. It uses both propane or charcoal. There are 2 picnic tables by the grill. Just outside the screened room is another hot tub with built-in bench for relaxing and bubble time. If both hot tubs are left clean, the property fee of $100 will be refunded.
There is also a fishing table on the side of house with a deep sink to wash the fish you catch. Also, the outdoor shower is good to rinse off that sand and salt water from the beach before you get in the hot tub or go upstairs.
If you enjoy lying around after a long walk on the beach, the living room and master bedroom have a Direct TV Network. The couches and recliner in the living room are perfect napping couches.
The spacious master bedroom has a very comfy king size bed and twin futon with a a flat screen TV with Direct TV satellite and DVD player. The master bedroom also has it own private bathroom, closet(twin daybed) and locking door from the rest of the house.
Unlike some rentals, we have provided all the linens and bath towels you will need. Beds are already made. Just please bring your own beach towels for use on the deck with hot tub or the beach!
Every morning we beach comb to see what the waves have brought in overnight! The beach is full of beautiful shells, sea beans, sharks teeth and sea glass to take home or to make arts and crafts with. The sand is ideal for that great sand castle you've been wanting to build.
There is plenty of bird watching if you like that, some of the birds we still have not identified! Watch as they fly over the canal or visit nearby High Island Bird Sanctuary.
We want you to enjoy Tiny Bubbles as much as we do.
Come and enjoy lots of fun in the sun. Our home is great for family vacations or private get-a-ways. The renter must be at least 25 years old. If hosting a reunion, party, or reception, an extra event fee of $100 is needed.
We are so excited to share our beach home to families that will respect and appreciate it like we do.

About John & Joy Smith
John & Joy live in Houston. John is a retired school teacher from Fort Bend ISD and Joy finally decided to stop being that traveling consultant and has joined John in retirement. We have 3 children, 10 grandchildren, one great grandchild and love to travel. You can see some of our travels in the art work in Tiny Bubbles.
John & Joy Smith purchased this House in 2008
Why John & Joy Smith chose Crystal Beach
Joy was born in Southern California and grew up loving the beach. After spending time at a friend's cabin in Crystal Beach we decided to look around for one of our own. Joy knew Tiny Bubbles was the one with its special touches and spacious rooms and deck.We were so lucky to purchase Tiny Bubbles in May 2008, right before Hurricane Ike hit in September 2008. It was so well built by the previous owner that she withstood the storm and was still standing, unlike so many of our neighbors cabins.
What makes this House unique
Tiny Bubbles features a beautiful stained glass window in the front entryway which came from an old church in East Texas. One look at that special touch and we had to have the beach house. To be able to sit on the deck and watch the birds flying by, see turtles in the canal, and relax in the hot tub are the special highlights. The downstairs screened party room provides the extra space for gathering to eat, play and relax with its ceiling fans or patio heater, depending on the weather. Those who love to Bar-be-que will love the Pitts & Spitts smoker/grill. Tiny Bubbles has been the site for many weddings along with the reception. And now Tiny Bubbles garden is Texas Wildscapes Backyard Wildlife Habitat Certified!

Perfect setting for family fun & lots of entertainment
We really enjoyed our stay here with some of our family! This place really offers lots of entertainment for everyone the bottom floor game room set up with lots of seating & a kitchen downstairs was very handy. Never a lack of something to do with several beautiful decks & seating. Relaxing in hot tub at the end of a exciting day was perfect with lots of sleeping choices this place really has everything to offer! Very nicely done Joy & John really knew what they were doing setting up this beach vaction house! Thank you for the great weekend! Would love to return again & get the rest of our group together again soon!
Enjoyed our stay at tiny bubbles john n joy were great very hands on people
The house is set up for family fun we had a good time. My only recommendation would be mosquito disc that you can put in the pond it is animal friendly n really helps control. On a want comment need a potty down stairs in the game room would make this really great
Great Family Times - as always!
We have been coming to Tiny Bubbles for 4 years now after Christmas. Although it is always cold, there is plenty to do and has come to be a family favorite. We spread out and read a book (plenty of space on sofas and bean bag chairs), we play games upstairs (we bring ours but they have some to play) and downstairs (ping pong, washers, darts, etc.), and we cook most nights in a well stocked kitchen but go to the Stingeree one night to treat ourselves to seafood. Bundling up and walking to the beach is also something we enjoy. It is a very short walk to the beach. The house is perfect for us - plenty of rooms and beds for all to sleep on, the kitchen has every tool you need, and many little things that John and Joy have thought of that make your stay extra special (like chocolates by your bed, a great coffee maker, a well stocked cabinet of spices and extras that you might need. The outside deck has different levels on the so everyone can find the perfect spot to read or nap wrapped in a cozy blanket or look out to see the different views. The hot tubs always look inviting but we haven't ventured in yet. John and Joy always makes sure we have everything we need for a great stay.....the perfect owners.
Wonderful place to spend Thanksgiving!
We had a wonderful time with 4 generations enjoying Tiny Bubbles. The house is lovely, comfortable and spacious. Joy even had fresh flowers in several rooms - a really nice touch. We will most definitely head back - hopefully soon!
Air wasn't very cool is only complaint..
Thanks for the update on the A/C. It is being serviced currently before our next guest. Sometimes it is only feedback from our guests to inform us of issues so we appreciate it. A rating of 4 is very rare for Tiny Bubbles, in fact it is only the 2nd one in 62 reviews. Hopefully your next stay will rate a 5 star.
The place was amazing and spacious. Joy was very accommodating as well. Would definitely recommend.
Thanks for the kind review. We are glad to have worked with you to be able to subscribe to view the fight on the TV's.
