I am the original owner of this home.
The Owner purchased this house in 2008
Holiday Isle Resort is located next door with a bar/restaurant and marina available. Numerous boats gather on the weekends at the sand bar located behind. Pierre's Restaurant (fine dining), Hog Heaven, Lorelei (waterfront and entertainment) are just a few restaurants located nearby.
My family loved our stay, the house was as advertised, the property was very well kept, the boat dockage was excellent and a very deep channel leads to the Ocean, even at low tide you will have no problem, I have a 29 ft center console. I would highly recommend this house and this owner. The only issue I had which is no fault of this owner, and something I would love to see change is the fact you must vacate the entire pool area at dark. Who doesn't enjoy sipping wine or having an after dinner drink by the pool at the end of a day, we all thought was very odd rule. Other than that I was very satisfied and for sure would stay there again.
This trip was with good friends. A fabulous home with wonderful views of the ocean and pool. Great place to dock a boat, easy access to the channel and to refuel the boat. We enjoyed the rocking chairs. Fabulous kitchen with wonderful cookware, we especially enjoyed having towels, sink soaps, toliet paper, spices, detergents, trash bags, paper towels..... We all brought these items with us and so we "paid it back" for the next family to visit, and we left our spices, soaps, paper towels, etc. We stepped into this lovely home for a week, and we did not want to leave. Wonderful children library, to get great idea to read to our grandchildren..........What more can you ask for, Angler Reef and this lovely home had everything.
We enjoyed your beautiful home. Everything was fantastic.
Hope to get back down there soon.
We stayed at Kim's house over Christmas 2015 and had a wonderful trip. The house is very nice and well appointed with linens, and the location is excellent. Kids loved the pool and being so close to the dock and beach areas. Kim was very helpful and responsive to my questions.
Overall our stay was excellent and we'd certainly rent this house again. A few minor reasons I gave 4 stars rather than 5 - the outdoor furniture is not very comfortable (wooden versus cushioned), we could never figure out how to turn on the porch lights on the lower level, some of the porch railings are coming apart and in need of repair, and there was no kayak or paddle board included. Our friends had the house next door which is the same exact size and layout (I'd say the two best houses in Anglers Reef from what I saw) - main differences we saw were that their house had very comfy outdoor furniture which was nice for enjoying the lovely weather and breezes, ceiling fans on the porches, excellent outdoor lighting, and a kayak and paddle board included. Relatively minor items but noticeable when spending time in both homes.
Thanks again Kim for your hospitality and happy new year!
We loved our thanksgiving week at this property. The home is just steps away from the pool where my children spent a lot of time. The kitchen had all we needed to prepare a thanksgiving meal. We enjoyed many of the restaurants nearby as well.
I took my children to the Keys for the first time and it was our best vacation thus far. The unit was Immaculate, Up to Date, Spacious, and situated perfectly on the property. The pool was at our back porch, my boat was about 30 yards away, and we had breathtaking views of the Atlantic from our balconies.! From visiting a few others families on site I think this was the BEST UNIT in Anglers Reef by far..! Kim (The Owner) was very helpful through the process and was easily reachable with any questions..!! We brought a kayak and paddleboard which was perfect for the kids to wander off into the shallow waters to explore. Definitely a Vacation to Remember..!!
