Loved our Stay at the Thousand Island's Winery! Absolutely the best place to stay!
We have been coming to the Thousand Islands since we were kids, there is a tranquil feeling of coming home when come here. We absolutely love the area and all there is to do here. The people at the winery are friendly and helpful, they make you feel like you are part of a family. This is our 8th or 10th (we have lost track) Oktoberfest at the Winery and although each year it is the same we still love to come for the fun, food, music and of course the wine.
We start our trip with a wine tour on Friday. We stop to 3-4 wineries and taste or just enjoy a glass of our favorite wine. Then we usually do dinner at Foxy's restaurant, the food and staff are great! Then we retire to our home away from home at the winery. Saturday is the Oktoberfest at the Winery, so we cook a nice breakfast and at noon go to that. The great thing about staying at the winery you can walk back to house during the festival if you need an extra sweater or to use the bathroom, it just makes it great. Then on Sunday we linger over a nice breakfast and then go into Alexandria Bay to do a little shopping, then on to Coyote Moon on the River in Clayton for a glass of wine and a snack. This year we visited the Cape Vincent Winery and absolutely loved it! We love the Thousand Islands Winery, you will have to check it out!
The house was great! It could have been a little cleaner. The location is a little more out of town than what we expected. Overall the house was good and it worked out for us.
Clean, cool and comfortable on a steamy summer weekend. Could use another a/c unit in the back bedrooms but It was unusually hot for the TI. Easy check in/out and property is as described. Thanks Steve!
We would definitely stay again. It was a great time.
Spacious, clean and charming. Being on the vineyard property was a bonus for us!
We had a large group (7 total). We were very comfortable, had ample living space and enjoyed having the flexibility to cook, grill and do laundry. Staying on the vineyard property was really unique. We did wine and beer tastings. We found the staff knowledgeable, very helpful and friendly for items we bought to take home. The property was a central location for us. We visited family in the area, shopped and ate in Alexandria Bay, visited Cape Vincent where the beautiful and scenic St. Lawrence River meets Lake Ontario. We enjoyed the breathtaking views of the St. Lawrence River traveling along Route 12. We rounded out our vacation with a day trip to the beautiful City of Ottawa in Canada. We did so much in just 4 days!
