This Greek Revival home boasts a superb location on the edge of the Garden District. Stroll under the canopy of centuries-old live oaks through one of the most beautiful neighborhoods in America to shop the quirky boutiques and antique shops on Magazine St, visit the Lafayette cemetery, or one of the numerous restaurants nearby. Or ride the St Charles streetcar which passes directly in front of the house.
Watch Orpeus, Bacchus, Zulu, Rex and more from your own private balcony overlooking St Charles Ave.
Our's was a group of 2 families who were in town for the Alabama/LSU game (Roll Tide!!). We found the property perfect for our needs. The rooms are spacious and everything was in immaculate condition. Jaime was a perfect host and VERY accommodating throughout the booking process, leading up to our stay and during the stay itself. I cannot recommend this property enough. Will definitely seek to stay here again when we return to New Orleans.
What a totally amazing place to stay! We were in New Orleans for a wedding. I found this house on VRBO and what a hit it was! It is in a great location and is very roomy and spacious! On top of the beautiful house and great location Jamie was so easy to work and communicate with. Thank you for allowing us into your home! I can't wait to visit again...only if I can stay in this house again! Ha :)
My husband and I plus three other couples had an exceptional time over Valentine's weekend in New Orleans. 1912 St. Charles only enhanced the experience! The home was amazingly beautiful and we had everything we needed to make it a most relaxing and enjoyable time. The owners were very accommodating to our arrival and departure times. We didn't want to leave! Having the street car stop right outside the home is very convenient as well as having a fabulous breakfast place right across the street. We would totally go back and stay again!
We stayed at this house for a week for my daughter's wedding. It was amazing! So clean, bright and beautiful! There was so much space for our entire family to enjoy each other and to host lots of family and friends who came in from out of town for the wedding. The location is convenient to downtown and there is everything you could need within walking distance. The beds were so comfortable, the bathrooms sparkling and the kitchen had everything we needed. We all especially loved the front balcony and the back deck. We haven't even gotten the professional pictures yet but the ones we took before the wedding had such amazing backdrops. And the grandparents loved the elevator. I have never felt more comfortable in a rental and cannot wait to come back! Jamie, the house manager, was the best.
This house is even more beautiful than the pictures! We stayed at this house for my daughter's wedding weekend. The bride, groom, and bridal party got ready at the house, as well as the bride and groom's parents. Gorgeous location to take wedding photos, as well as wedding prep. Easy access to all areas of uptown and the French Quarter. I am from NOLA, and truly enjoyed feeling like a visitor for a few days. The house was a beautiful backdrop for wedding photos that we will remember for years to come. Beautiful home!!
We stayed at this house last weekend and were blown away. The house is amazing and had everything we needed. The location was perfect and the trolly is across the street. We walked to Magazine street for dinner and even walked to the French Quarter and the WWII museum. The beds and linens were 5 star quality. We are already talking about staying there again.
