Pool / Spa
Very clean, elegant apartment. High ceilings a nice surprise. Insuite laundry a plus. Parking would have been good as lot below building expensive.
Great location but not the same place as in the pictures
The location is the best, you can walk to everything. The apartment was good but the bedroom is really tight and it is difficult to open the closet because the bed goes all the way to the closet. If you have any issues getting around or don't like tight place this room would be difficult to impossible for you. Other than that I would have given this a 4 star rating.
BUYER BEWARE: photos in ad are not of the unit you will be getting
I personally own 2 vacation rentals that I rent out on VRBO and I was appalled and offended that the rental agency, Stay Alfred, would mislead their guests by using photos from different properties to advertise this particular unit. The unit I received was not at all represented in the photos you see in the ad. I was given a unit that was in the basement - the floor level was literally 'B' level and was 2 floors under the lobby. It opens up onto a communal courtyard and therefore, the blinds must always be closed for privacy. The unit was incredibly dark, even with every light on and the ceiling fan was CAKED with dust so I didn't even feel comfortable turning it on. The bed was uncomfortable and I found hairs in the bed. The good news is that Stay Alfred was responsive to my complaint and moved me to a unit that was more representative of the photos in the ad. However, I will not give more than 2 stars due to the fact that the company has deliberately mislead potential guests by not using actual photos of the unit. This is completely unacceptable in a reality where most guests will choose accommodation based on photos.
It was clean and livable and in an outstanding location. But the bed was too big for the bedroom so you couldn't open half the closet and the place was a little run down. I would stay there again probably as a second choice but only with 1 other person the pull out bed is not comfortable.
Great location but...
The location of the apartment was great. We could walk to Pike's Place and the Aquarium and the Wheel and lots of great restaurants. There were a lot of homeless people around, but the apartments were gated and locked and it always felt safe there. The customer service was pretty attentive. The lack of proper air conditioning was the biggest problem for this time of year. There is only a window unit that is partly blocked by the size of the couch. We were not comfortable unless we had all the doors closed and shades drawn and air conditioning on all day. The bed room does not have air conditioning at all, so it was an uncomfortable night's sleep. The building is a maze--to get in and out is not easy--there are several buildings that belong to this complex--lots of stairs or elevators and levels to get to the parking garage to the pool to the gym to the entrance to our room. Small things would have been more thoughtful to have in place: they were running late to get us in on time and though we had confirmed early check in, the room was not ready, so we had to go and explore a bit with all of our luggage waiting in the hot car--that didn't feel great. And though it was clear that there were four of us staying there, when we arrived, there were only two sets of towels out, so I had to search all the bathroom cabinets and apartment cabinets before I found an extra set of towels in the bedroom closet. Overall it was fine, just not excellent.
Location, apartment, and staff are awesome
Seriously couldn't have been in a better location. The market is within 5 min walk, museum is across the street, the pier is a 7 min walk. Quick access to the highway for any longer day trips. The place was very clean, the bed was comfy, the complex has tons of amenities. Would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend to others.
Literally in the heart of Seattle! Next to Pike Street market, The Seattle Art Museum, the Harbor, Piers, the best shopping and restaurants Seattle has to offer!
