My tenants just loved their stay at Still Dock in the heart of Downtown Nantucket on the Wharf near the ferries & boat basin. The accommodations are immaculate and bright. They just loved the fresh flowers that the owners thoughtfully provide and the linens are to die for! An easy location to come and go from downtown combined with the essence of feeling like you are staying on an island.
I rented this property for a week in June and it was fabulous. As soon as we entered the front door, I thought this is perfect. The place was immaculate. The bedding is like being at a 4-Star Hotel. Staying in a Wharf Cottage was so romantic and convenient, we could not have asked for anything better. We were with one other couple, and there was plenty of room for us to enjoy each others company or retire to our own suites. We were so happy, Still Dock
had all the amenities of a First Class hotel, but old world charm of Nantucket. The shell driveway and harbor views were right out our back door, and the quaint shops and best restaurants just out the front door. We had a wedding in town, and everything was walking distance. The Wave bus was just up the street so we could get out to the beaches. We rented bikes right around the corner. I can't wait to return to this rental, the owners were great, so helpful and attentive to detail. I have rented a lot of places, and I would highly recommend renting form this owner, everything was perfection. And the location can not be beat!
Have been coming to ACK since I was a child and have rented several places myself over the last 10 years, this was one of the best
From the moment we arrived, the owner made us feel at home with her warm welcome and answering all our questions about the island. The condo was beautifully decorated, immaculate and had all the amenities we needed during our stay. The grounds were in full bloom with hydrangeas, lilies and other flowers. We particularly enjoyed the peaceful mornings walking the wharfs (just steps away) and checking out all the boats in the harbor. We didn't have a car and didn't need one. All the restaurants, shops and grocery store were just steps away. We took the shuttle bus when we headed to the beach or rode our bikes. A couple of nights we bought fresh line caught fish and grilled it at home. I would highly recommend this condo and hope to return again. It would be the perfect location for off season long weekends or Christmas Stroll. Thanks again Maureen for your hospitality!
I have never felt compelled to write a review before now. Being married to the ultimate perfectionist usually puts a damper on travel, and my husband, after choosing some of the leading hotels in the world can find fault with them all. It has gotten to the point now that I rarely unpack upon arrival, as inevitably he demands that we switch rooms at least once, if not twice, during our stay. I am now back in Manhattan after spending an incredible week in Nantucket at 14 Still Dock. The bed was extremely comfortable, dressed in luxury linens. There were no issues about restaurants or nightlife as town was a short two minute walk away. It was fun strolling thru the lovely gardens off old North Wharf. The cottage was pristine, had beautiful artwork and everything looked brand new. My ten year old son Connor was delighted with his room, especially the state-of-the-art flat screen tv. His daily trips to the corner bakery for breakfast on his own gave Connor a sense of independence and freedom we could never allow in New York City and is something he will remember for a long time. I was a little worried that we would have trouble sleeping in a quiet beach town after the noise of the city but there was just enough clatter to make us feel right at home. All in all this place is truly a remarkable find and we will be returning soon and often.
Best week ever! My family and I booked this brand new cottage and we felt like we were staying at a 5 star hotel.
We had rented in Nantucket for the past few years and were really sick of the moldy cottages.
This place was well appointed, all super white and clean - no moldy smells!, neat and super nice.
The location was fabulous - right smack in the middle of town - 20 feet from the water! We could walk to dinners, and shopping.
Maureen, the owner and her staff assisted us with all the local knowledge we needed for an amazing week. I already gave my deposit for next year!
