“We chose to purchase this area for our vacation home because number one the unspoiled beauty of the area was captivating and second, the views from our cabin are breathtaking. The 100’s of miles of ATV trails and the close proximity of the National Parks was also a consideration. Having paved roads that allow for year round access makes it a bonus.”
What a great time we had and wish it wouldn't end.... We loved having fires in the fire pit with a full moon and loving the views. We hiked Zion, Bryce, Capital Reef, Escalante, Calf Creek, Moab, Canyon Lands and the Arches.Wonderfully well-equiped kitchen! Beautiful views! Loved the ping pong table-what great exercise for any age group! We will be back. Thanks so much!
I loved staying here. Good location for visiting both Bryce and Zion National Parks. The house is situated on a ridge with amazing views of nature and mountains in both directions. Lots of deer and wild turkey surround the property.
Each of the 4 bedrooms is private and has reasonably comfortable beds; the 3.5 bathrooms were super convenient. There is A/C and many ceiling fans. The kitchen is large and there is lots of living space. We slept 4 adults and 3 kids super comfortably, and could have easily fit another 7-10.
The kitchen was lacking nothing; dishes and cooking utensils were plentiful. I enjoyed using the BBQ grill; like previous reviewers I will again say that it would have been nice to not have to stick my whole hand inside the grill to light it. The automatic lighter is broken, and they don't even keep a long lighter in the house--just the short cigarette-type lighters. If the grill igniter isn't fixed they should keep one of those longer lighters or extra long matches in the house. Fortunately, my hands were not burned.
These did not detract from my stay, but some feedback for the owners:
There are quite a few dead light bulbs, including the master bath. I couldn't figure out how to prop open the front screen door to prop open which was annoying when bringing suitcases in/out from the house.
The instructions state that I could get free ice from the nearby Chevron. There is no Chevron, and the closest gas station had no idea what I was talking about. You need to update these instructions.
When you give people directions to the property, you might include GPS coordinates or an actual address, rather than just giving step-by-step instructions from Cedar City. Some of us come from other directions; since I'm tech savvy and intelligent it wasn't too difficult for me to find my way from the east, but to those meeting us there I gave an address AND GPS coordinates so they could find the place without going through Cedar City (out of the way). I suspect some of your documents haven't been updated in a few years. It's time.
The rug inside the front door slips all over the place and gets caught on the door when trying to open it. It drove me crazy.
It would have been nice if there were a place to hang a jacket. The front coat close is full of games, and the master closet is locked. How about a coat rack??
Our family of 4 love this place! The location was perfect for exploring the parks and the home was great to come back to at the end of the day. Our boys loved the ping pong table. It never took us more than 45 minutes to Bryce or Zion. If you are going to Bryce, be sure to check out Red Canyon. That was one of my favorite spots of our trip. Aspen Mirror Lake was also beautiful. The home was so clean and comfortable and Amanda was a great to work with. If anyone is concerned because there are not bathroom or loft pictures, you have nothing to worry about. Everything is beautiful. The loft has a small loveseat in the landing area and a bedroom and bathroom. The bedroom is a room with a door, not just a sleeping area in an open loft. I would give more stars in the rating if I could and would not hesitate to stay again if we are ever in the area.
Loved our 8 night stay in this beautiful home that offered fabulous views plus the perfect location! The home was VERY CLEAN and WELL MAINTAINED! We had lots of family together in one house, but there was plenty of room for all. Loved being able to send the kids to the large downstairs area with ping-pong table, while grandma could go upstairs to the 2nd floor "quite area" and read. Treasured the time just sitting and relaxing on the deck while taking in the breath-taking views! Location is perfect for hitting all the different highlights - Bryce Canyon (did the Bryce Canyon Half Marathon - awesome race!!!), North Rim of the Grand Canyon (better than the South Rim - IMO!), Kanarraville Falls (not well known, but awesome hike!!), Cedar Breaks National Monument (wildflowers were incredible!) and the Duck Creek Village/Cedar Canyon area (great trails for early morning runs). Any questions or concerns were immediately addressed by the owners with just a quick phone call. Great having the general store/gas station just minutes away for ice and incidentals. The home was perfect for us - we felt like royalty staying in such an exquisite home! Arleen (July 8-16, 2016)
The 6 of us loved our stay in this beautiful home! (My husband and I, my 67-year old father, and our three children ages 11, 13, 13.) The location was perfect for sightseeing in Bryce Canyon & Zion National Park. And we all loved family ping-pong competitions in the evening after a day of hiking.
This property was recommended by a very close friend who stayed there with her family. The property was everything promised.
Great location, beautiful view, full of amenities. We had a wonderful family vacation hiking and canyoneering in Bryce and Zion.
Even did a day trip to the Grand Canyon. Will return if we have the opportunity.
