We feature 2 stories of decks to help you relax and unwind. Only 3 miles to downtown. We are walking/biking distance to Zilker Park (home of Austin City Limits Festival-ACL), Barton Springs pool (1 mile away by hiking trail), and the Hike and Bike Trail that will lead you to downtown. We are located just a few feet from the entrance to the 7-mile Barton Creek Greenbelt--you can take a quiet, birdwatching walk or a more adventurous mountain bike ride to Barton Springs pool. This home is in a quiet neighborhood setting and across the street from a playground.
It is just 3 miles to downtown and convenient access to various restaurant, bars, shopping and music venues of Barton Springs Road and South Lamar. Nearby restaurants and pubs include the world famous Chuy's Restaurant, Uncle Billy's BBQ, Shady Grove, Uchi (sushi), House Wine, Barton Springs Saloon, and a local trailer park filled with delicious samples of international cuisine. We love this neighborhood for its easy access to all the local attractions! We have a STR license (V917873).
We are a family of 5 who would love to share their home with you!
We could not have been more pleased when we pulled up to this modern home in Austin. It was across the street from a school/playground and next to a fantastic hiking path. I have to admit, I've never stayed in a rental that is used as a primary dwelling before. It was a little strange to see clothes in the closet and family pictures around the house (adorable family) ... but it felt like such a warm friendly family home that my nervousness turned to excitement. My daughter LOVED the room that was another little girl's room. She loved playing with her toys and having her own space. The boys loved the room with the bunk beds and books and trucks. And my husband and I loved the master suite - which was so big it felt like we had our own wing to the house. (Plus more than enough bathrooms for everyone! We felt spoiled!) The kitchen was perfectly well-equipped and Tara left us some fantastic snacks. Even though we had a very cold week - the kids LOVED the backyard. The tree house and especially the zip-line. It was the highlight for them! The house felt so spacious and homey. Tara checked in on us several time. We even fed the fish - a job my kids took very seriously. The home was light filled and full of comfortable chairs and couches. Hanging out in the family room, with all the windows and foliage, was one of our favorite things. The dining room table was big enough for us to all eat together. One afternoon as we were playing in the backyard, a couple walked by heading onto the Greenway trail. "Great house," they called out to us. Great indeed! We'll be back for sure.
This is a great property, just a short walk to Zilker Park! The owners are so thoughtful, leaving us snacks and toiletries for our stay. It was perfect for our group for Austin City Limits. The home is right on the Barton Springs Greenbelt, if you want to do some trail running while in town.
You are a short walk to some wonderful restaurants on Lamar, and so close to Zilker Park.
If you are in town for ACL, you really don't need a car. You can walk to the park, which I recommend. There is no parking any closer. And you can walk to great restaurants on Lamar.
We're here for SXSW and this house is so much more comfortable than a tiny hotel room would be. The owner left us snacks, wine, and little toiletries in every bathroom. We have great space to spread out and work. It seems they are the perfect sort of folks to rent their home out. Some people are just naturally good hosts. We love it here and are happy we made this choice.
I was delighted to stay here with my two kids (5 and 3) over Christmas. The kids were excited about the bunk beds and the huge selection of toys and books. The layout of the place was great and it was very spacious and scenic. We made use of the tea and hot chocolate the owners provided, and used the fireplace extensively. The property was immaculate and even better than described. The owners even let me send Christmas presents to their home before my stay so I didn't have to travel with them. The kids and I enjoyed a nature walk into the Barton Springs Greenbelt (literally just in the backyard) as well as playing at the playground across the street at the elementary school. Zilker Park was a short drive away, as were many restaurants. This was my third time staying at a Homeaway property in Austin, and was by far the best. I will definitely be planning to stay here for my next trip. Thank you so much!
This home has it all for any visitor to Austin, but is an especially lucky find for anyone attending an event or festival in the Zilker Park area. The home is new and modern, clean and spaceous, cool yet family-friendly. Nature-lovers will appreciate the location, decks, and views, but visitors can't ignore the lovely kitchen and other indoor amenities. The Barton Creek greenbelt, Barton Springs natural swimming area and historical site, Zilker Park, and several awesome restaurants, coffee shops, and bars are all in easy walking distance. Uber-hip central and south Austin hotspots are imminently close-by. You can't beat this place!
My husband and a group of our friends had a great weekend stay at this property. It is very clean with great amenities. The back deck is great for hanging out. There is a trail that runs right next to the house this is perfect for a walk or run. We highly recommend This property for anyone looking for a great weekend Austin getaway.
