Location: Belmont hills within walking distance to grocery stores, shopping, library, parks, churches, casual and fine dining. Easy access to San Francisco International Airport (20 minutes). Half hour drive to the Pacific coastal beaches, the sights of San Francisco, and the heart of Silicon Valley. Within 2 hours drive to Napa wine country, Monterey/Carmel. Off street parking, washer/dryer, central heat and air, linens and towels provided. Property perimeter is completely fenced.
There are a total of 15 stairs from the parking area up into the house with 2 landings separating sets of stairs. All of the stairs have hand railings.
Accommodations: One master bedroom with a queen bed; adjoining master bathroom (shower, no bathtub). Two smaller bedrooms, one with a queen bed and one with twin beds, share a full bathroom.

Your house was perfect accommodations for us during our time in the SFO area. It was clean, well-equipped, and comfortable. Loved the wood den--what a cozy room! With all the activities we had going on leading up to our daughter's wedding, it was a great place to unwind at the end of several frantic days. Thanks so much for making it available to us. We definitely recommend it to anyone planning a stay in the area.
This lovely house was just what we needed when we decided to travel to Belmont for our grandson's 1st birthday. Three bedrooms, and all the beds were comfy. Master bath has shower; guest bath has tub. I was so glad to have a bathroom with an actual tub!! There is ample storage space for clothes and personal belongings. All linens are provided with lots of extra blankets. The kitchen seemed pretty updated with new appliances. Dishes, glasses, pots, pans etc provided and some spices. But no food whatsoever. So if you plan to arrive late, bring some snacks, canned soups, peanut butter, bread, or something. If you don't have a car, the grocery store is a hike. It's not far, but it is a very hilly area, so you'd better be in shape. The grounds are lovely with lots of flowering plants and herbs and numerous seating areas. The owners were very easily reachable if we needed anything and obviously care about this property very much. I would definitely recommend it to anyone going to the area. Be aware that there are about 10-12 steps to climb up to the front door, so if you have heavy luggage that could be a problem for the elderly. We look forward to staying here again when we visit.
Our family of four really enjoyed our stay here. Facilities were clean, up to date and in good repair in a house that is from the WW2 era. My dad couldn't stop remarking at all the pleasant trinkets from 2 and 3 generations back, including a 1960s era encyclopedia. Location in Belmont was fantastic--within 500 meters or so of groceries, restaurants and gas. The train station isn't much farther (be sure to download the Caltrain schedule before planning your day). There are also fruit trees in the yard. All around great experience!
We never actually met our hosts because we needed to be flexible when we arrived, so they arranged a lockbox for us and allowed us to arrive early, but the house was more than perfect for us. We were there with our daughter, son-in-law and their toddler. The layout of the '50s traditional house has a bedroom/bathroom/den wing separated by the kitchen from the rest of the house, so we were able to be isolated yet together in the house. The furnishings were comfortable and quaint, and the kitchen is very workable with modern appliances, and everything was well-maintained and clean. The front garden was lovely and there is an herb garden in back if you're into cooking. There's both a Safeway and a gourmet market within walking distance. All in all, a terrific experience and we'll do it again in a heartbeat next time we return to the area.
This was our second stay at Belmont House this year. It was every bit as wonderful as the first. The house is so homey and comfortable! Two of our daughters were able to join us this time. They loved the cozy feel of the house every bit as much as we do. Especially the front porch, where we sat every morning to enjoy coffee, conversation, and the beautiful gardens around the house. Belmont is also a great location for day trips to see the sights of the bay area. We visited Napa, Muir Woods, Golden Gate Park and Half Moon Bay. The house has become a "home away from home" for us. Thanks again to Bill, Sue and Stacie for another great experience!
A very clean and well kept property that is close to the SFO airport, the city of San Francisco, the beach and Silicon Valley. We were in town for a family wedding and were able to be close to both family and all of the major attractions too. We needed a home with at least 3 bedrooms and 2 baths and this home worked perfectly for our family of six. The price was very affordable for such a large home. Having central A/C was a bonus too. The owner (Bill) was very attentive and accommodating to our needs and was quick to refund the security deposit. We would definitely rent from Bill again if travelling back to the Belmont/San Francisco area!
Host gave warm welcome. Made sure that we were comfortable. Explained and provided manual for house rules. We enjoyed our stay in this quiet neighborhood. If we come again and if the house is available we would love to stay here. I will recommend to my friends and family the h and the website. Jayshree
