Location: Belmont hills within walking distance to grocery stores, shopping, library, parks, churches, casual and fine dining. Easy access to San Francisco International Airport (20 minutes). Half hour drive to the Pacific coastal beaches, the sights of San Francisco, and the heart of Silicon Valley. Within 2 hours drive to Napa wine country, Monterey/Carmel. Off street parking, washer/dryer, central heat and air, linens and towels provided. Property perimeter is completely fenced.

There are a total of 15 stairs from the parking area up into the house with 2 landings separating sets of stairs. All of the stairs have hand railings.

Accommodations: One master bedroom with a queen bed; adjoining master bathroom (shower, no bathtub). Two smaller bedrooms, one with a queen bed and one with twin beds, share a full bathroom.

Your house was perfect accommodations for us during our time in the SFO area. It was clean, well-equipped, and comfortable. Loved the wood den--what a cozy room! With all the activities we had going on leading up to our daughter's wedding, it was a great place to unwind at the end of several frantic days. Thanks so much for making it available to us. Casual/comfortable residential living in a quiet neighborhood in the Belmont hills. This charming 1940's house sleeps 6 comfortably. Feel right at home! Beautifully landscaped cottage garden also boasts prolific citrus trees and herb garden. Hand pick lemons year around for your grilled fish or lemonade. The private yard/patio has a picnic table. A covered front porch with sitting area that overlooks the rose and herb garden. Since the front porch receives the morning sun, it is perfect for enjoying your morning coffee and watching the occasional deer meander by. This fully furnished house provides a cozy living room with a sofa, recliner, television, DVD player with a video library. Family-room has a 40 inch LED-HDTV with Blue Ray player. The kitchen offers modern appliances and pine cabinets. The separate dining room seats 6.

Thank you to Sue, Bill and Stacie for a great stay two weeks ago! Our first impression of the beautiful and fragrant gardens in the front of the house set the tone for a very relaxing stay. Their home is beautiful; spacious; very clean; organized; and more than met our needs with all the provided conveniences as listed. Sue has an extremely informational binder in the dining room with information about the inside and outside of the house; the surrounding areas and a very interesting history of Belmont Heights. Also, Sue was very pleasant on the phone and gave us some great travel advice! The stairs leading to the front door of the house are very wide and I had no problem going up and down even though I am very out of shape. Their house in Belmont Hills is conveniently located to so many areas we visited during our stay there (San Francisco; Half Moon Bay Beach; Muir Woods; Napa Valley; Golden Gate Bridge and San Jose). The area is very safe and everyone we encountered in Belmont Hills was very pleasant. The proximity to San Francisco Airport was extremely helpful as we had to leave early on the last day. We would definitely like to stay here again our next trip to San Francisco.

Lovely place, peaceful, with an incredible garden. Old school a very comforting way.

The place is well equipped wwith all the little things you could easily forget (eg, coffee filters, spices and oils). Clean and pleasant place ina very convenient location. Loved it.

Charming home met all our needs

This lovely house was just what we needed when we decided to travel to Belmont for our grandson's 1st birthday. Three bedrooms, and all the beds were comfy. Master bath has shower; guest bath has tub. I was so glad to have a bathroom with an actual tub!! There is ample storage space for clothes and personal belongings. All linens are provided with lots of extra blankets. The kitchen seemed pretty updated with new appliances. Dishes, glasses, pots, pans etc provided and some spices. But no food whatsoever. So if you plan to arrive late, bring some snacks, canned soups, peanut butter, bread, or something. If you don't have a car, the grocery store is a hike. It's not far, but it is a very hilly area, so you'd better be in shape. The grounds are lovely with lots of flowering plants and herbs and numerous seating areas. The owners were very easily reachable if we needed anything and obviously care about this property very much. I would definitely recommend it to anyone going to the area. Be aware that there are about 10-12 steps to climb up to the front door, so if you have heavy luggage that could be a problem for the elderly. We look forward to staying here again when we visit.

Charming and historical

Our family of four really enjoyed our stay here. Facilities were clean, up to date and in good repair in a house that is from the WW2 era. My dad couldn't stop remarking at all the pleasant trinkets from 2 and 3 generations back, including a 1960s era encyclopedia. Location in Belmont was fantastic--within 500 meters or so of groceries, restaurants and gas. The train station isn't much farther (be sure to download the Caltrain schedule before planning your day). There are also fruit trees in the yard. All around great experience!

A Lovely House in a Terrific Neighborhood

We never actually met our hosts because we needed to be flexible when we arrived, so they arranged a lockbox for us and allowed us to arrive early, but the house was more than perfect for us. We were there with our daughter, son-in-law and their toddler. The layout of the '50s traditional house has a bedroom/bathroom/den wing separated by the kitchen from the rest of the house, so we were able to be isolated yet together in the house. The furnishings were comfortable and quaint, and the kitchen is very workable with modern appliances, and everything was well-maintained and clean. The front garden was lovely and there is an herb garden in back if you're into cooking. There's both a Safeway and a gourmet market within walking distance. All in all, a terrific experience and we'll do it again in a heartbeat next time we return to the area.

A true home away from home

This was our second stay at Belmont House this year. It was every bit as wonderful as the first. The house is so homey and comfortable! Two of our daughters were able to join us this time. They loved the cozy feel of the house every bit as much as we do. Especially the front porch, where we sat every morning to enjoy coffee, conversation, and the beautiful gardens around the house. Belmont is also a great location for day trips to see the sights of the bay area. We visited Napa, Muir Woods, Golden Gate Park and Half Moon Bay. The house has become a "home away from home" for us. Thanks again to Bill, Sue and Stacie for another great experience!
