About Nathan Mason
We are a family of five that live locally in Lamoine. We got into vacation rental properties when we found from our own experiences it to be impossible or to costly to book hotel rooms for larger families. That's when we started offering vacation properties in our area. We also discovered by renting from others what makes a great rental experience, so we made each of our properties is uniquely different. Whether its hand cut post and beam, seaside cottage, secluded waterfront cabin, or a traditional Maine lakeside camp, we try to offer a wide range of a real Maine experience. We hope you enjoy staying with us.

Why Nathan Mason chose Lamoine
Seabrook on Raccoon Cove is a wonderfully unique property. It offers the quiet peaceful rural neighborhood feel but has enough property to be very secluded. The ocean views and wrap around brook right out the front door offers days of play and relaxation.
What makes this Cabin unique
The property offers two cabins. One main cabin with two sleeping areas and a seaside "bungalow" 25 feet from the shore for a more private getaway. Both offer views of Mount Desert Island and Cadillac Mountain.
100% refund if canceled at least 60 days before arrival date.
Great Launching Pad for Exploring Acadia
Just a fantastic property. Very clean with updated appliances. We loved every minute of our stay!
The house was perfect for our week in Acadia. It is clean, well-furnished and has comfortable beds. The sleeping cabin is an added bonus that provides some privacy for guests. It would be helpful to have a sign at the end of the driveway to indicate the house number. At any rate, it is the first left after you turn onto Pasture Way. The bay is tidal, and we seemed to hit low tide whenever we had time to use the canoe, but our primary focus was Acadia. If you plan to visit Acadia during your stay, you will undoubtedly hit the main attractions on Mt. Desert Island, but do not miss the Schoodic Peninsula. The cabin is located about equidistant to MDI and Schoodic, so it's well worth the trip.
P.S. I gave only 4 stars for the description because the cabin and the setting are actually much nicer than the photos show!
This place is a gem. Quiet and away from all the action. My husband and I are authors and this was perfect for us to get our respective books completed. Nathan was excellent and super fast to respond to our questions. The cottage was very clean. We will definitely return.
Secluded slice of heaven
Our stay at the Mason’s cabin was more than we could have hoped for. We had fresh white towels laid out for us, cozy/soft bedding, and every detail necessary to make us feel at home. The amenities are unlike anywhere I’ve ever stayed; you really don’t need to bring much on your vacation! The location is quiet and allowed for our two dogs to be off leash and explore the grounds. The red canoe was a perfect treat for my husband and brother to explore the cove (check the tide chart before venturing). We loved the fireplace being controlled by the thermostat; the house was always warm and cozy. The cabin was a true escape for us during our stay; we loved coming “home” each night and playing games and cooking dinner. Opening the window to hear the babbling brook was so relaxing from the upstairs bedroom. I can’t recommend this enough to those seeking a secluded slice of heaven in the woods. It snowed about 3-4 inches during our stay, and Nate shoveled and plowed us out. The host provides quality service in every single aspect of vacationing.
Peaceful, Clean, all the home amenities you could ask for and more, with a beautiful view.
Lovely new cabin, very private, wonderful views and the small additional cabin was a perfect, unexpected bonus. All the amenities from home you could ask for, a true home away from home experience, I will definitely rent again.
Relaxing and enjoyable.
Everything was very nice. A very quaint and cozy cabin. I enjoyed looking through the woods and seeing an Owl. The cabin was clean and warm. There was everything we needed there.
Lamoine is a central location for all that the Acadia & Down east areas have to offer. Acadia National Park & Bar Harbor on Mount Desert Island offer hiking, kayaking, mountain biking, fishing, rock climbing, whale watching, gift shops, wonderful restaurants, and beautiful golf courses. Not to mention the most beautiful scenic drives on the east coast. Blue Hill and Castine are also nearby and offer art galleries, concerts, and great dining. For the adventurous a day trip up the coast to explore the quiet coastal vistas and quaint fishing villages is a wonderful way of seeing Down east, Maine at its best. If you want to stay close to home, Lamoine offers some of the best white sandy beaches in the region, with views of the coastal islands and mountains of Acadia.
