Unexpected surprise at spring time

  • 5 of 5

What started as a small spring time-off turned out to be the best spring-winter vacation ever! The cabin was just perfect - secluded, private, and beautiful with comfort. The views from every corner were breathtaking. A peaceful stroll at Deep Creek with the refreshing scent of spring season was quite enjoyable. The next day we ventured out to Clingmans Dome. And what a surprise! The surrounding mountains still had snow giving a fantastic winter wonderland view. We hiked the trails still covered with snow - it was magnificent. We came for a spring vacation and had spring and winter fun! Thanks for sharing your beautiful cabin. We truly had our fill of tranquility and serenity.

Perfect Getaway!!!

  • 5 of 5

My family just wanted a relaxing weekend away in the mountains, and Hidden Treasure was absolutely perfect for us. As we entered the cabin's great room, the mountain views were breathtaking!! It is rare that the pictures advertised are better than the real views; but Hidden Treasure surely has them. We loved sitting on the sun-porch watching the sunrises and the sunsets, yes both. Kids loved playing ball and riding their bikes in the cul-de-sac. What an absolutely perfect spot you have on top of the mountain! Exploring Bryson City and hiking at Deep Creek were also quite enjoyable, and they are so close from the cabin. Thank you so much for making our stay wonderful and relaxing! We loved your authentic cabin decorations also!

News Year's in the Smokies

  • 5 of 5

We spent a wonderful week at this cabin with our family and our neighbor's family. The owner Annie was beyond helpful before we booked. She spoke with me at length about the cabin and the surrounding area. We decided that it sounded perfect for what we were looking for. However, we were still completely overwhelmed with what awaited us when we arrived. The cabin is the last cabin at the top of a mountain overlooking the Smoky Mountains. The view was breathtaking. In addition to the view, the cabin was also more than we expected. The pictures don't do it justice. The cabin itself is amazing but also the furnishings were impeccable. Annie has done a great job with the decorations that add to the feel of a "log cabin" but with high end taste. The beds all have heating pads and were very comfortable. Large closets and bathrooms were a bonus. My only suggestion would be for hangers for the guests who are staying for a longer period of time. We spent the cold nights by the beautiful fire place, playing games and listening to music. One of the best parts of the house's location (in addition to the spectacular views) is its proximity to Bryson City which we were so surprised to find. It is the cutest little town with some amazing little restaurants. We planned to cook dinner every night but ended up eating out. The house is very convenient to the city and its amenities and although the trip up the mountain is a little steep, it was so much better than lots of other cabins in the mountains. We never ran out of things to do. The cabin is so conveniently located to everything the area has to offer. We hiked the waterfalls at Deep Creek trail, we mountain biked at Tsali and we mined for gold in Cherokee, all within 30 minutes of the cabin. But really we could have spent all day in the cabin looking at the view with the kids exploring the mountain around us and been completely satisfied. Thank you to Annie for a memorable and relaxing New Year's in the mountains!

Awesome View, Perfect House!

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time at "Hidden Treasure"! The house was perfect for our family of five. Plenty of room and all the amenities we needed. The deck and the long range view of the mountains was the best part. It was very easy to get to yet secluded enough that we felt like we had the whole mountain to ourselves. I would definitely recommend this property. The owner was very accommodating and easy to work with. Thanks! We'll be back!
