About Faye Webster

Three families bought this home in 2009. Faye is retired and lives in the mountains of North Georgia. The Harrison Family has 2 young boys who live to enjoy Bottoms Up house every opportunity they get. The Abbey Family has 1 child and lives in Woodstock, GA. We all love home renovation and that is why we lovingly restored this home and hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

Faye Webster purchased this house in 2009

Why Faye Webster chose Florida Panhandle

After vacationing in Alligator Point for the last 10 years, we finally decided to take the plunge into vacation home ownership. The home is an easy shot from Atlanta, where all the owners live and offers a quiet, relaxing beach environment. The beaches are never crowded and you can enjoy the sand bar and all Alligator Point has to offer.

What makes this house unique

The home has its own private pool and private boat dock. Just steps from the beach, what more could a family need?

19th birthday

  • 5 of 5

.the house was exactly what we needed. My daughter picked it for her 19th birthday getaway, and once we arrived it was like being at home with the beach right outside. Ms, Faye has a lovely place here and we will definitely be very happy to come back if we get the chance. Close enough to get back to stores, and some restaurants, but still far enough away to be somewhat away from civilization so you can truly rest and relax. The pool is an added bonus, with the beach close and a pool you always have some time for fun in the sun.

We loved our stay at this cute house! It was very relaxing and quiet. The pool and deck are a really good size and the water was warm. The house is adorable! I loved the screened porches...I would just go out there at night and listen to all the sounds of nature and smell the salt air. Everything was really wonderful. We were rained in completely on the last day and the only thing I would recommend (but not sure where you would put it) would be more relaxing chairs or furniture. The couch is great but we had 4 adults and 2 kids and when your rained in and everybody wants to watch a movie, it was pretty cramped. But we made it work! And honestly, that would be the only negative thing about this place and I really hate to even say that because they really do think of everything here! We used the bikes to get to the beach and they have 2 wagons which were great for carrying beach stuff and coolers. We ate at Angelo's and it was beautiful and the food was good! We went through the week and got right in. This area is very vacant and you do have to drive a bit to get gas or "decent" groceries. We went to the grocery store down the road from Angelo's and it was terrible. It has a yellow square sign above it with the name on it (can't remember what it was called). Very small selection and all the meat was brown and had a reduced sticker on it. We purchased milk from here and got back and it was spoiled (wasn't expired either). So I would make sure to stop at a Walmart or go to a Dollar General to get basics and not this store! But they are really good in your directions when checking in on letting you know where to get groceries and gas! Will definitely stay here again! The property is very well maintained and the owner Faye is so nice and very quick on getting back with you!

Owner's Response: We are so happy you had a wonderful time! I know what you mean about the little IGA in Panacea! That's why we stress to bring what you need. That is one of the wonderful things about Alligator Point -- you are truly away from the world! Hope to see you again!

Great relaxation

  • 5 of 5

Great place for peace and quiet from toddler ages to elderly. Teenagers loved it. Beaches were clean and peaceful. Not a lot of people on the beach. Everyone was so friendly. The house was a great place and has everything you need. If there is any questions or concerns Ms. Faye is always a text or email away to help. People there on the road asked if Ms. Faye was with us. They just love her there. It was for my parents, my brother and his family, and me and my family and we had a blast. We will be back!

A lovely get-away

  • 5 of 5

I brought my extended family here (spouse, 2 kids, and 2 grandparents) for a work trip to nearby Florida State University Marine Labs. This house was a *great* fit for us. The kids *loved* the Little Pirates' bedroom, and the open kitchen/dining/living area was perfect for good conversations while cooking etc. The grandparents - one of whom has poor mobility - were able to spend the days at the nearby beach with the kids, just a short and easy walk down the road. They also appreciated their own separate-entrance bedroom downstairs (which FYI does not link internally; you have to go up the outer stairway to join the central apartment; but it was a sturdy stairway and the grandparents could handle it). The kids also had a great time down at the canal throwing the crab traps in and playing with crabs. It was a great trip! The upstairs bathroom was a little careworn but that's to be expected in a well-loved vacation home, and everything worked fine for us. We will definitely stay there again if we come back to this area! Oh, and a heads-up, this is really quite remote.

Most serene beach trip ever!

  • 5 of 5

This gem of a beach house was the best place to quite literally get away from it all. The decor is so stylish and makes you want to just sit a spell, as we southerners say. I've never had a kitchen so well stocked with everything we needed plus a huge added bonus of a giant ice maker - no old, smelly, stale ice cubes here. Lounging in the pool was a terrific way to enjoy the bright sunshine and the fact that there were floats available there on deck was such a pleasant surprise. The combination locks on the doors made accessing the house so easy since no one needed to keep up with the house key - we could all come and go as we pleased. Lastly, I just want to mention how comfortable the beds were. I love a firm bed and I hardly ever find great beds like rolling to the middle or clinging to the edge. I can't wait to go again!

Where do you live?

A hidden gem!

We had one of the most fabulous times in this perfect little house which is only a skip and a hop from the beach! Our stay was from Dec 26- Dec 29, 2015. We normally stay in Mexico Beach in a friend's house but had the opportunity to go to Alligator Point for three days. I had never rented a house from anyone on a site like this one and was very nervous about doing so, BUT, not only was this one of the best places for our family, Faye was awesome to deal with! She made the process so easy and I felt very safe and secure doing this online. Her response time was immediate in all areas and I was amazed at the very detailed summary she provided of the house, directions, and how to's! The house is amazing! We stayed gone the majority of the time since we were visiting several local places, Wakulla Springs, St Mark's State Park, the Gulf Research Aquarium- all within a thirty minute drive from the house! There is so much room in the house and so nicely decorated and one of the best equipped places we have ever stayed. It was nice not to take our own linens and to have so many things available for use. There were bikes and beach wagons for use even though we were unable to make use of many of the things due to the limited time we were there and the weather being cooler for pool use- cannot wait to go again and enjoy that fabulous pool! The bedrooms were perfect for my husband and myself and my daughter/husband and two small children. The downstairs suite was perfect for my Mom who has problems with stairs so she was able to sleep downstairs and only come upstairs for meals and family time at night. We were able to walk on the beach in the early morning but plan to enjoy it fully the next time we come! I would highly recommend this wonderful house and we will definitely rent again- numerous times if possible! Thank you so much Faye for sharing your gem with us!
