I was looking for a 6 bedroom home for our cousin reunion in a central California location. This beautiful home certainly met that and more. The booking was very easy and Daniel was able to quickly respond and answer any questions. Michiko was on site to explain everything about the house, Jacuzzi and sauna. The house was very well appointed with every thing that we needed and more. I have stayed at some VRBO's where the minimum is provided and this was a welcome change. We especially liked the long table on the veranda that easily accommodated everyone for meals. I would highly recommend this home for a large group. There is space for everyone.
It's so beautiful and peaceful for a group to have retreat, away from the city, and it's like a paradise as its name states . Each room is decorated uniquely charm and it's comfortable to stay. We enjoyed the Jacuzzi and the sauna, and the environment is quiet and lovely. The owner Michiko is very warm, friendly, kind, helpful and considerate. The reservation was very smooth with quick response. We stayed 4 nights and want to come back again. We highly recommend this paradise place, and already recommended it to our friends.
Comments from the Mother of the Bride - We came to celebrate our daughter's wedding at the See Canyon Fruit Ranch which is a half a mile away and enjoyed the facilities, ambiance, and healing environment of this lovely home. We had the wedding party and extended family to sprawl out in the spacious house. The home appears more beautiful than in the pictures and is even more comfortable than I could have imagined. The owner, Michiko is warm and friendly and thought of every detail to make our stay enjoyable. We had a group of 13 and the space was perfect to accommodate our group. We stayed for three nights and four days and I wish we could have stayed longer. I believe another guest said the area surrounding the home is a magical place that is peaceful, quiet and serene and I concur. I hope to come back one day and enjoy the ambiance of the home and the healing waters of the jacuzzi and the warmth of the sauna. I highly recommend this lovely home.
Comments from the Father of the Bride - The water smells like sulfur, but the effects of the odor are overshadowed by their healing effects when using the jacuzzi. The jacuzzi and waterfall have 4 rocker switches and three wall switches with 3 positions each, plus there is a thermostat for the jacuzzi switch along with a breaker. Make sure you takes notes on these operations, for I had too slow of a boot up with the switch matrix. A combination of 5 post it notes and a sharpie pen could fix that or, be sure to take notes when you get the briefing. You have access to TV but who needs tv when your in this serene area. On communication -We needed to coordinate with attendees, bridesmaids, and groomsmen and connectivity was a problem when trying to make arrangements with others staying in various hotels in the area. The house comes with a land line and Michiko provided us with the number upon our arrival. The house wifi allows for texting, but signal for cellular phone calls is a bit spotty. Plan for that before you arrive and you will embrace the value of this miraculous retreat. There was a family of 3 deer roaming in the area around the estate ( 1 doe and 2 fawns 'bambi') very warm and friendly. Enjoy
We came here with our entire sales staff to relax, bond and work on our 2015 game plan. Upon arrival the surroundings relaxed us right away. It is as if you are so far from civilization but with all the amenities. The house was spacious and accommodated all 13 of us well with room to spare. The common areas were big enough for us to hold our meetings and the kitchen was big enough for us to cook. Each room was decorated very nicely. We were a bit surprised by the mineral water running throughout the house, but adjusted to it quickly. Michiko provided purified water near every sink in anticipation. She was very helpful and even took our group photo before we left. The sauna and spa were definitely the highlights and we even tried the horse shoes and used the basketball court. I recommend this house to anyone who wants to be surrounded by nature and needs a break from the hustle and bustle of the world. I would definitely return.
This is a real find. We have a group who travel and explore together and we are a very decerning and particular bunch. Michiko, the homeowner, was so gracious that we wanted to take her home or at least join our group. Everything was clean, organized and a little quirky which I loved! A hot tub for many, a kitchen fully equipped, everything warm and cozy during the somewhat blustery weather. I could not have had a better time...thank you to Michiko and all my dear friends, all nine of them including a well mannered dog, who made use of all the facilities!!! I highly recommend this home.
We had a fabulous time! The home was lovely - clean, spacious, and well-appointed. The bedrooms and baths were comfortable and private, and the gathering places were right-sized for our group of 9. The hot tub with mineral water was an extra treat. Michiko-san, the homeowner, was gracious, responsive, and went out of her way to ensure that all of our needs were met. Highly recommended!
The house is located quite close to Avila Valley Barn with its organic shop, restaurant and petting zoo. The location is an ideal hub from which to launch day trips throughout the Central Coast.
