Large One Bed Room, 1.5 Bathroom Luxury Apartment Near The Sea

This very large one bedroom and one and a half bathroom, is located in the ver heart of the trendy mexican caribbean town of playa del carmen. Being less than 2 minutes walk from both the best beaches and the pedestrian ares 5 avenue, this luxury condo has the best of both wolds. The condo complex is one of the best maintained in the area, with a nice pool and a cozy common area. The apartment it self is like you home away from home with all the amenities you are used to like internet, flat screen tv, washer and dryer and nice leather furniture. Being on first floor there is privacy from the street, and a fantastic view to the church right in front.

About Michael Bolt

I arrived to Playa del Carmen in 2000 from Denmark, felt in love with Playa del Carmen and started the local dive shop Dive Mike in 8th street between 5th Avenue and the Ocean, and bought a few condos.

While running the dive shop I started a property management company, Vimex Condos which I sold 5 years later. I still run my own units with help from a property management couple, Jamie (Australia) and Manuel (Mexico).

Myself and my girlfriend stayed at Playa Caan 15 for New Years 2012/2013. We visited Playa Del Carmen for the BPM Music Festival.

First of all I would like to say that the location of the apartment could not be more ideal. The main club strip and the beach are literally a stones throw away.

The apartment itself was in immaculate condition. Free WIFI and cable television and a nice balcony right on Calle 12.

Our apartment contact (Oscar) was really helpful and was prompt with responding regarding any queries we had throughout our stay.

We had a great time on our 2 week stay and must say that a lot of that was largely to do with the apartment we stayed in.

The next time we come to Playa Del Carmen we will be sure to stay in the same apartments.

Nice condo, great location

Very close to 5th Avenue and the beach. The church across the street was a nice addition to the local flavor. The traffic on 15th Ave gets loud sometimes but the condo itself is well insulated. The pool was nice to have on the days where you didn't want the beach. Manuel and Jamie were very helpful and responded quickly to questions or requests.

1 week vacation in Playa

We are a Canadian couple that came to Playa for a 1 week vacation. The apt. is in the perfect location for shopping & walking to the beach. Our only complaint was the church 'directly' behind the complex. The bells ring faithfully every morning at between 7:30 am & 8:00 am. There are approx. 4 mass's per day. The morning bell isn't such a big deal BUT they have speakers outside the church for 'Everyone' to hear & they are loud. There were steal shutters on the bedroom sliding doors to keep out the sound of the traffic at night but then you couldn't get any fresh air. During the day you had to keep the window closed & even then you could not watch the TV without turning it up very loud to try & block out the singing & talking coming from the church. It is like they are in the living room with you. 4 times a day for sometimes over an hour. They talk about respect but they don't practice it! The day that we were leaving Michael was having another set of windows installed to cut down the noise. That should help but you still cant open the windows to get fresh air in the evening. I am not an air conditioner kind of person. The bed was comfortable & there was a supply of towels & beach towels. Some of the kitchen dishes had chips out of them & it lacked bowls for making a salad or storing left overs. There are lots of pots, a frying pan, coffee maker, microwave, a toaster oven & a blender. We really appreciated the blender as we like to make smoothies in the morning. There is a large fridge & a full size gas stove. There are a lot of TV channels but only 1 in English channel that repeated shows daily. So that kind of left you sitting & listening to church music every night. The pool is beautiful & we loved the fact that the complex was gated. It is one block from Coco Bongo so there are always lots of people walking buy the complex at night but it never bothered us. We never heard any noise at night from the party crowds but that may have been due to shutters on the windows. Lots & lots of people in Playa but everyone was just exploring the area and having a fun time. I think if we were to go back to Playa we would consider saying a little further from the church. If they come to their senses & decide to turn the sound, then we would for sure stay here again.

I have had double windows installed the day you left, and stayed there myself to see the effect. Now there is absolutely no noise, but to have the effect windows must of course be closed during mess. It was nice to meet you both, and hope to have you back (now with the double windows) or in one of my other 3 units in Playa.

Nice Condo in Central Location

The owner, Michael, was very quick to respond and easy to work with in advance. And the property managers, Jamie and Manuel are very nice & extremely helpful prior to arrriving, thoroughout my stay, and departing. Plenty of space in the living and bedroom areas, and the dryer along was worth the stay, just to toss wringled clothing for second if needed. The area is very safe. Plus the condo bldg. is very secure with a nice gate which locks at the entrance, and security on premises throughout the night who are also helpful & friendly. Would definitely stay again, and hope to return soon. THANKS

Great Location

The location was fantastic. Also whenever we needed anything, the property manager was in contact immediately. Close to walmart, beach, restaurants and bars. Huge spacious 1 bedroom condo. Free wifi included. Good shower pressure. All around a great experience. Thanks!

Week in Playa

Wife and I statyed for a week, can't be more happier. Perfect location, beach, 5th ave, Walmart, all you need within walking distance. Condo is very well taken care off, all amenities needed at hand. Secure and quite location, pool area is great to relax and unwind. Had one issue with AC in the bedroom, but it was taken care off immediately. Would hgihly recommend it and looking forward to a retun visit.

Good location dated apartment

Good location but the apartment was a bit dated. The pans that were there to cook with look like they have been there for many years . The toilets kept plugging up every time u went to use them . The noise with the church and the foot and vehicle traffic was very noisy to all hours of the night and early morning . Great location apartment needs some work .

This very large one bed apartment is located in the very center of the town, just one block from the famous 5 Avenue and 12 Street. However being just out of the pedestrian area, you can not hear the bars and you have your private designated parking spot if you decide to have a rental car for a day trip to nearby attractions.
